Balto’s revenge: part 11

As the human’s cleaned up Sissy Balto thought my one of my beautiful daughters gone along with my one of my handsome sons as they left the cliff opening Balto kept thinking about those three word’s:

Ha Ha Ha.

As Kodi walked along he picked up a scent the scent was fairly familiar with him though he could not place it so he snuck off and he kept following the scent until he came to a clearing and saw at least four dog’s sitting together and laughing about something he could not hear.

Well what is a good dog like yourself doing all the way out here, said a kind female voice.

Kodi turned around to see a pure pink husky looking at him.

Well I can ask the same thing about you ma’am and if you don’t mi-, Kodi never finished the because the pink dog took one of her paw’s and put it around his throat.

Wh-what are you doing, Kodi gasped.

Oh well I have someone who really wants to meet you Kodi, said the pink dog.

Jack get over here and help me, said the pink dog.

One of the dog’s in the group came over.

Oh and who do we have here Sasha, said Jack.

This Kodi one of are target’s, said Sasha who Kodi just learned her name for she was the pink dog together the two dragged Kodi out in to clearing.

Hel-, Kodi cried but before he could finish a paw came down and forced his jaw closed and held it there.

Long time no see huh Kodi, said a strangely familiar voice.

Kodi looked up to the dog that had his jaw clamped shut and saw to his horror Jet was looking down at Kodi and grinning.

I-I-I-I-I-It can’t be, stammered Kodi.

Oh it can and is Kodi, said Jet.

Now what are we going to do with you, said Jet.

I don’t umm how about we follow the plan, said another familiar voice.

Kodi turned his eyes away from Jet and saw to his bewilderment Zeeke a strange feeling engulfed Kodi and his vision went blurry and he blacked out and he knew no more.

Well I guess the shock of seeing me alive made him pass out cold, said Zeeke.

Kodi, Kodi where’d you run off to son, called Balto for he noticed that Kodi had vanished.

I suggest you hurry up and contaminate him Zeeke, said Carver.

All right, replied Zeeke he bent down and in one swift motion bit Kodi on his left shoulder he sank his teeth far enough in so that he drew blood.

Well now that’s done I suggest we leave, said Sasha.

Yes but first we must take precaution, said Carver then he lifted Kodi off the ground and with Jack’s help slammed his head into a rock.

There now everyone might think his story is not true and don’t worry Zeeke the slam won’t hurt him permitly and now we leave, finished Carver and with that they left making sure their track’s were well covered.

Balto arrived he saw Kodi and cried for out help Spike came running and helped Balto get Kodi back to the other’s.

When they got into town they immediately took Kodi to the vet’s place.

He will be fine that all he needed was a few day’s rest, said the vet Sissy on the other hand was buried because her body so badly mutilated that Lisa’s parent’s would not let Lisa see her dog.

Dingo go get your mom but do not do not tell her what has happened you can leave the telling part to me, said Balto.

Y-yes, said Dingo in a nervous voice.

Dingo departed from the vet’s and ran to Rosie house where he saw his mom laying down on the front porch.

Err mom dad wants you right now it’s important, said Dingo in an unsure voice.

OK Dingo, said Jenna.

With that they left the house when they got to the vet’s Jenna had a worried expression on her face.

Jenna I have some very bad news for you Sissy was ripped apart, said Balto sadly.

 Wh-what, said Jenna who had started to back away into the street.

Sissy was murdered, said Balto.

N-no-no, sobbed Jenna then she took few more step’s away from Balto.

I don’t believe you how could you say something li-, said Jenna.

But she would never finished what she had started to say because a car had hit Jenna sending her flying 10ft into the air and smashed through the rear windshield of a parked car!

JENNA!, screamed Balto.

The car stopped and the driver got out of the car and ran over to where Jenna had smashed through the back of a car’s windshield.

Help please someone help, cried the driver as he reached the car and saw Jenna was covered in glass from head to toe is also what Balto saw when he got to the car the sight made him dizzy?

Rosie’s mom and dad came running out of the vet’s.

Please help me I hit a dog, said the man in a panicked voice!

When Rosie’s mom and dad got there and saw Jenna in the back seat of their car Rosie’s mom let out a gasp then ran back to get the vet the dad started to remove piece’s of glass that was not in Jenna but around her as he worked Jenna let out a soft whimper.

Hush girl it’ll be alright, said Rosie’s dad putting a hand on Jenna’s muzzle and stroking it gently to calm her the next moment the door to the vet’s burst open and Rosie’s mom along with the vet right behind her.

Let me see her, said the vet.

Rosie’s dad immediately moved aside the vet took a long and slow look at Jenna.

We need to get these glass piece’s out right now but we must be gentle with her because if this is not done right we could kill her, said the vet.

So they began to remove the glass carefully from Jenna.

She wined a lot and at one point she snapped at the vet who gave her a small smile and quickly stroke her on the muzzle to calm her then went back to his job at hand about twenty minutes later they were done then with out a word the vet Rosie’s mom and dad and the man who hit Jenna took the whimpering dog into the building.

I hope that we can get Balto on our side, said Jack.

The small group was now back at the factory.

Yes if all goes well we will contaminate him tomorrow and I think these two should have some alone time tonight, said Carver.

For when they got back Zeeke found that he could not stop nuzzling Sasha.

How about Zeeke and me go right now, said Sasha who was enjoying Zeeke’s company.

Alright you two-love bird’s can go now, said Carver.

With that Zeeke and Sasha got up and they went to Sasha’s room were she got into a submissive position and gave Zeeke a look a look that made him shudder with excitement Zeeke smiled then mounted her and it all went down hill from there until everything went black and he felt no more.

Wh-what happened, said Zeeke in a weird voice.

You passed out last night Zeeke, said Sasha in a very happy voice.

I guess I did, said Zeeke who was still in shock.

Oh Zeeke if all is well then in three months you and I will be parents, said Sasha in a sly voice.

What!, said Zeeke in total disbelief then he smiled at her and she smiled back at him.

Well we better go see what we are doing today, said Sasha.

Zeeke nodded and they both got up and left the room when they got to the main part of the factory they found the pack already there.

Well good morning you two-love bird’s I’m glad you could join us now we have a lot of work two do we must take the town’s dog’s before well err CHESTER can show up!, said Carver hastily.

Zeeke noticed that everyone in the room flinched at once.

Whose Chester?, asked Zeeke.

Well let’s just put it this way kid if Chester finds us we might as well kill ourselves for he’ll do much worse to us, said a dog named Fitz.

Well how about we get back to business Fitz have you done what I asked you two, said Carver.

Yes Mr. Carver it’s all taken care of he will be waiting for us a the exact spot at noon and Dingo is also set up also Spike and his guards like they’ll make a difference, finished Fitz with a scuff.

Well then I think we should go get ourselves ready, said Carver.

Back at the vet’s Balto had just finished his visit with Jenna he thought she still looked awful.

Well I had better go meet this mystery dog who told me that that Zeeke was still alive thought Balto.

Come on Dingo lets go, said Balto.

The two took off to where they were supposed to meet at in front of an banded factory.

Well it look’s like it’s noon so where is this dog, said Dingo.

Right behind Dingo my brother, said a familiar voice.

Balto and Dingo turned around to see Zeeke and at least five other dog’s walking out of the factory.

Ze-Zeeke, said Balto in a dumfounded voice for he had not really expected his son to be alive after so much time had passed.

Yes it’s me and to let you know I’m sure Sissy is in hell, Zeeke finished laughing and foam started to form on his mouth.

Well it is really nice to see you two again but now you must join us to help Mr. Carver, said Zeeke.

Zeeke come home with us everyone misses you and thinks your dead or missing, said Balto.

No dad I can never go home and I’ll tell you why, said Zeeke he walked forward and stopped right beside his dad ear.

This is why I can never go home, said Zeeke.

With that Zeeke quickly bent down and bit his father in his right paw just as he bit his dad some of the other dog’s swarmed around Dingo and the rest of the swarmed dog’s around Balto.

Dingo screamed in pain Balto heard him scream and tried to break free of the dog’s grip but could not then out of no where something hard hit his head and he blacked out.

Mean while in town at least ten dog’s in small group’s so not to attract unwanted attention made their way to where Spike and his guard’s were at and instead they found something that made their blood run ice cold.

Oh fudge, one said.

Holy-#@!$*^ , said another.

Were dead were so fricking dead, said another.

We all better get out of here before CHESTER and the rest of his team see us or we’ll all be dead, said Fitz.

With that the dog’s ran as quickly as they could back to the factory when they got there they saw Zeeke and Sasha play fighting for fun as the other dogs that were there were all laughing but when Carver saw the dogs that had just arrived with look’s of utter fear on their face Carver knew there was something wrong.

All right you two lovebirds it’s time to stop, said Carver.

Mr. Carver we are all in big trouble he is here in Nome, said Theo.

At those word’s all happiness immediately vanished from the room and was replaced with look’s of utter horror.

Well look’s like he’s at our mercy with the plan we have set up, said Sanchez.

After he said that the pack remembered the plan and they all burst out laughing.

We all should be on our guard just in case anything at all happens to go wrong, said Hex.

Yes and with Balto and his son locked up it should be much easier but I still want at least three more dog’s from this town before we put our plan into action, said Carver.

Well err Mr. Carver we have a surprise for you sir, said Krest.

He nodded to his brother Renard who stepped aside and allowed three dog’s to move forward and Carver could hardly believe his own eye’s Gareth Chester’s brother, Max one of the best on the team, and Trix Chester’s own daughter were apart of his pack.

Back in town Chester and a whole bunch of other dogs went to where Spike was, I am told that you are in charge, said Chester.

Yes I am, said Spike raising his head a bit.

Well then we need to talk about some dogs-Crystal where are you oh thank you, said Chester.

A brown dog had just given him a plastic tube and he opened the top and pulled out what looked like a good amount of posters, see this one, Chester pointed to the one that had Carver on it.

Wait I know him he’s a good dog why has he done something wrong, said Spike.

Oh he’s done more wrong then you’ll ever know he’s the leader of a group of dogs that call themselves the pack and their just a bunch of err well dogs that enjoy causing pain, said Chester.

Just then a dog came bursting in, Spike a group of ten dogs just killed six people, said Kaltag.

What!, said Spike.

And one of the dog’s in the group stayed behind and told us that this is just the beginning we have the dog surrounded right now, said Kaltag.

Good I’ll go with you right now, said Chester.

When they got there they found a small dog, nice to see you again Chester, said the dog with a smile on his face.

I must say that I’m surprised to see you alive Fitz now what do you want before we kill you, said Chester.

Only this Chester you and your whole team are finished you hear me finished we will kill all of you, said Fitz.

Chester and his team laughed that’s right Chester laugh now while I distract you from our real goal ha-ha thought Fitz.

Back at the vets where Chester’s mate Stacy is she’s sleeping now because she is deep in her pregnancy and was right now all alone then she heard a noise that woke her up!

Whose there, she said in a firm voice.

Then out of the shadows walked a red-white-and gray husky.

Why hello there you must be Stacy and my name is Zeeke, said Zeeke he bowed.

Well it’s nice to meet you Zeeke but I need you to leave so I can rest, said Stacy.

Oh don’t worry you’ll rest but in piece’s, said Zeeke.

Stacy tried to scream for help but Zeeke clamed her jaw shut with one of his paw’s, ahhh that’s not good now instead of killing you quickly I’ll have to kill you slowly like my dear sister, said Zeeke.

He grabbed Stacy by the back and turned her into a good position then took his claws and racked them her back and if Zeeke was not holding her mouth shut Stacy would be screaming in pain then finished and let go of her mouth and she started crying.

Zeeke bent down and grabbed one of her legs and just as he done with his sister pulled her leg off Stacy screamed as he pulled off her leg.

Zeeke smiled and bent down one more time to finish her then in one swift motion he broke Stacy’s neck.

Zeeke ripped off her other legs and tail then he tore open her stomach and killed the unborn cubs then he laughed as he left the room.

Back to where Fitz was, Chester me and the pack have a surprise for you can you guess what it is or should I just tell you, said Fitz in a sly voice.

Tell me now or you’ll be very sorry, said Chester.

Just then a dog came running out of the vets, Chester you have to come with me now something bad has happened to Stacy, said the dog in a hurried voice.

Lead the way Nick, said Chester.

Then they went inside the vets and when they got to Stacy’s room and Chester saw her he was sick on the floor.

Who-who did this, gasped Chester in a fierce voice.

Then a dog burst into the room it was Lance, Chester Fitz is gone, he said in a quick voice.

Gone but how, said Chester.

A bunch of dog’s jumped us and Fitz took off with them we have some of the team tracking them now and when we-, Lance never finished his sentence for he just saw Stacy on the floor and he did not looked shocked but he did look sad.

So what Fitz said is true then, said Lance in a hushed voice.

What did he say, growled Chester.

He said that he hoped that our man was able to take Stacy out and then get out that’s what he said and the next moment we were jumped, finished Lance.

Mean while back at the factory Fitz, Zeeke, and a bunch of dog’s got back to the factory where they met Carver.

Well how did it go, said Carver.

It went as planned Stacy is dead along with the unborn pup’s and were being tracked, said Zeeke.

Good, said Carver.

He was smiling and he thought to himself now it ends Chester now it ends.

Well we better prepare for their arrival, said Carver.

With that they all went around the factory to prepare their traps for their coming gusset’s.

Zeeke set extra traps around Sasha for he wanted nothing bad to happen to her.

Stay safe and don’t get hurt OK I want our pup’s to have a chance at life, said Zeeke.

Don’t worry Zeeke I’ll keep the pup’s and me safe, said Sasha.

She smiled because Zeeke was going through all this just to keep her safe she nuzzled him.

I’ll be fine but you had better get to the entrance before the team gets here, said Sasha.

I’ll go now, said Zeeke.

He left making sure the trap’s were set.

Chester we found their hideout it’s at an old factory that isn’t used anymore, said Tick.

He had a look of stone on his face.

Well we better gather the team the toxin and our men then we’ll set off right away, said Chester in his mind he said this is for you Stacy my love  he left the room to help gather all the needed supplies.

All of the traps are set Carver, said Jet.

Good and get the dog’s outside we must get the human’s and the toxin out of the way then the team will finally fall Trix,Gareth,and Max you know what to do, said Carver.

They said in unison, yes.

And the three departed, come on now just one more there now were all set, said Chester.

He wanted to make sure that before they left that anyone coming with them should be given the toxin what Balto,Dingo,and Kodi did not know is that the rabies was just driven from them before it could take over, all right lets move, said Chester and the team set out.

I don’t won’t you to come Sam, said Drew, mom I want help besides I have some of your’s and dad’s wolf blood in me, said Sam with a hint of pride in his voice.

Alright you can stay but don’t fall behind, said Drew.

The team continued until they all reached the factory then the musher’s stopped all the sled and unlished all the dog’s that were lished up, go get em, said all the musher’s.

With that all of the dogs went inside the factory.

Alright kill all on the ground floor and then proceed to the higher levels and stay in groups of five at all times no exceptions now fan out, said Chester and they did

To the team’s surprise they found no one on the ground floor they stationed sentries at the stairs and door’s as a precaution then they went to the next level and began to search the room’s then the dog’s heard a cry and some ran toward the source to find an opened door with an ax in the chest of a dead dog that was one of there’s.

They bobby trapped this door so be careful from now on, said Lance.

They all continued to search the room’s until they found a door that was locked.

There might be something in there mom, said Sam.

If there is then I don’t want you to get hurt, said Drew.

Just then the door creaked open all the way and they saw a dog laying down by a window.

The two walked in slowly for they had been told how to kill members of the pack so they would not get infected with rabies when they were almost behind the dog.

Hello Drew long time no see eh, said the dog.

Drew looked confused.

Who are you and how do you know me, said Drew.

Why I was just born three week’s after your precise Sam and Crystal can you guess now or do you need more help, said the voice.

Drew was thinking when it a thought struck her like bat then a look of pure horror-shock-and fear came across her face.

Mom what’s wrong what’s the matter?, asked Sam in a concerned voice.

it can’t be you died your dead, said Drew in a scared voice.

The dog got up then turned around and just the sight of him made her fainted.

Mom!, cried Sam he ran towards his mom but the dog step forward grabbed him by the muzzle and held him.

Listen and listen good Sam if you want your mom to live you’ll do exactly as I say got it, said the dog.

Sam looked at his unconscious mom and then back at the dog and then he sadly nodded.

Good now Jet you may come out, said the dog.

A dog emerged from the shadow’s.

Go tell Carver that we can know start the second part of his plan and send down some dog’s here to help me, said the dog.

The dog called Jet nodded and left the room.

Chester we found one it’s Fitz and he say’s he has something to tell you and he hurt a dog so we need the toxin right now, said Lance.

All right Lance bring them in and Kodi go get the toxin, said Chester.

Kodi nodded and left.

The next moment Lance and all of the other dog’s came down the stair’s holding two dog’s one of them was of course Fitz and the other one was Max.

When they reached the bottom of the stair’s Fitz suddenly clawed at the neck of one of the dog’s that were holding him the dog let go so not to get hit and Fitz was now free then he ran back up the step’s to where Carver was waiting and other dog’s were emerging from the shadow on the first and second floor then Kodi was thrown back into the main part of the room.

Chester so glad you could come here to our little party, said Carver.

Chester growled at him.

Carver at least I can finish you off once and for all, said Chester.

Carver smiled, I think not Chester my old friend, said Carver.

He nodded to Jack who with some help from the other dog’s placed two dog’s at the top of the stair’s.

Trix and Garth, said Chester in a voice of shock and relief because he could see their bodies and he knew that they had not been bitten and shocked because he thought them dead.

Daddy help me please, cried his daughter Trix his brother said nothing but he had a pleading look in his eye’s.

So your going to do exactly what we tell you to do Chester or I’ll rip your pretty daughter’s and brother’s legs off like I did to your mate and my dear sister, said a voice from a shadow’s.

Balto thought he must of misheard and Kodi thought his ears were plugged and Dingo thought his mind was playing trick’s on him for they all recognized that voice the voice of someone that had died or they thought had died for out of the shadow’s stepped Zeeke?

Balto looked dumbfounded Kodi was in shock and Dingo was staring open mouthed at Zeeke.

Zeeke what our you doing here son, said Balto for he was the first to recover.

I’m rabid dad rabid and you would all see me die without a second thought but I’ll tell you how I came to be like this I was tracking a few dogs that day when the town meeting ended I found them hear I was about to run home when I met this beautiful husky she caught my heart in that instant she lured me away to where I was knocked out when I woke up I was told that I was rabid I accepted the rabies it wasn’t until after I had given into the rabies that I learned their was a toxin if I had know that before I gave in I would of tried to escape but it’s to late now dad I am what I am and I’m not ashamed of it, said Zeeke their where tears coming down his face now.

Zeeke why did you kill Sissy, asked Kodi at this Zeeke stopped crying and started laughing and when he started talking he was still laughing.

I killed that $@#&#!@ because she was an ungrateful little bitch who never had any respect for me and I would of done anything to gain it anything but as I realized we are who we are and I knew she would never truly change so I disposed of her so I would never have to listen to her ever again, said Zeeke who is still laughing.

I was told you went missing Zeeke but I had hoped that this had not happened to you, said Chester shaking his head.

Balto turned to look at Chester in disbelief.

You knew my son was here you knew that these dogs these monsters made him rabid, said Balto in a angry voice.

I had a hunch because so many dog’s went missing and were thought dead like my daughter and brother and-me, said a voice a voice so familiar so familiar that Dingo took a step back in utter fear, n-n-n-no it-it-it-it-it-it-it’s no-no-not pos-possible, finished Dingo.

Right after that Jet stepped out of the shadow’s like Zeeke did.

Balto thought he was seeing things Kodi thought he had gone insane Jet laughed at the look’s on their faces.

Dad I want you and the rest of the family to join me so we can all be together again, said Zeeke just as he finished someone came in with another dog who was screaming:

Let me go let me go.

It was a girl and she was fighting desperately to get away.

I have her Carver, said the dog.

Good work Renard and if I’m correct your name is Stormy am I right, said Carver.

What’s my name to you your just a evil rabid mutt with no respect for woman, said Stormy with a snarl in her voice as soon as Stormy had finished talking Carver raised a paw a struck Stormy as hard as he could across the face she started to bleed.

Stormy, said Kodi.

Stormy looked up at Carver with a look of pure hate in her eye’s.

A nice girl like you should not talk like that it might strike back at you my dear and if I were you I would get that look out of your face or you will be very sorry indeed, said Carver with a smirk.

Stormy lowered her gaze and a look of sadness replaced her pure hatred look.

How did you get to her she was in town before we left, asked Kodi.

Did any of you bother to look around the factory before any of you came in, asked Carver.

All of the dog’s that came with the team shook their head’s in the no direction Carver smiled.

Well if you had you would of found stairs going up to a door that opened to the 4^th and final level where we were but you did not just as I hoped and you all fell into our little trap that we had prepared before hand, said Carver.

Chester’s eye’s suddenly widen in shock, that attack and the strong scent all of it was a trick to lure us all here right into your waiting paw’s wasn’t Carver, said Chester.

Craver laughed.

You finally figured it out did you and I thought you were smart Chester but I guess your getting too old for this job huh, said Carver a smirk appearing on his face.

Um Carver there is something wrong here my dad and two brother’s look like they did before we attacked them as if they have been-, his voice died in his throat.

It’s all right Zeeke I thought this would happen for you see every mission Chester his team and anyone else he brings along get vaccinated before they leave for it means that for at least ½ an hour our bites mean nothing to them so it dose not matter if they draw blood from us, said Carver in a calm voice Zeeke slammed one of his paw’s on the floor.

%@$! it all that planning for nothing, said Zeeke in a frustrated voice Carver again smiled.

Not all for nothing Zeeke for look who we have we have loved ones which mean’s they have to do what we say unless they want them toured right in front their eye’s we have the upper hand they can not escape for they are surrounded and we have leverage on them and nor can they howl for help or attack us at all so why do you think I had all of this part arranged like this, said Carver Balto’s eye’s widened.

So that’s why I had pain in my whole body throughout these last two days that’s what the bite was really for to turn us rabid, he finished in a horrified voice.

It dose not matter now for what Carver said is true we have the upper hand and we are going to use it full force, said Zeeke who started to laugh.

Chester dropped his head in defeat he knew it was true they had finally gotten the upper hand and there was nothing he could do about it.

What’s the matter Chester finally run out of plans and if I’m correct you ½ an hour is up and there is no more toxin for you, said Carver in a triumphant voice.

Dingo would you be kind enough as to walk up here and have a bite taken out of you, said Zeeke.

Never, said Dingo.

I can see you need a little help making up your mind, said Zeeke.

He grabbed Drew and took one paw with it he ripped her shoulder the sudden pain that shot throughout her whole body caused her to wake and yelp because of the pain Dingo growled at him and before Drew knew what was going on she found a paw pressing down on her throat but not very hard.

Dingo unless you want Drew to not be able to use one of her legs in the future you will come here now, said Zeeke in a serious voice.

Dingo continued to growl at him, Dingo you are clearly not getting the message, said Zeeke.

He grabbed Sam this time and in one swift motion with one of his paws broke one of his legs.

Sam howled out in pain and his eyes were full of pain to.

Zeeke struck him across the face to silence him.

Keep quite, said Zeeke with a sick grin on his face just then the door’s on the first floor burst open to reveal at least twenty men coming in from each side for they had heard Sam’s howl the men started shoot the dog’s they had recognized from the encounter in the other town.

Blast them fall back all of us fall back, cried Carver the rabid dog’s began to run for it.

I’ll meet you soon Carver but first I must go get Sasha, said Zeeke.

Go and then meet the other’s and me said Carver.

Then he along with some other dog’s ran and broke out of the large window that was behind them.

Zeeke took off up the stairs and unaware that his father was right behind him.

A few minutes later Zeeke reached the 7^th level and opened the door avoiding the trap’s he set then he went inside he went to a door and knocked three times on it he heard an lot of scraping as Sasha undid the traps he had her set up after her left.

A few seconds later the door opened and Sasha came out.

It has happened Sasha we must retreat, said Zeeke.

Sasha just then started growling Zeeke turned around to see his dad at the end of the hall where the stairs begin in a few fast steps Balto was at the door Zeeke lowered his head beard his teeth and began to growl.

What are you doing here dad, said Zeeke.

I’m here to free my son from something he never chose, said Balto.

I did not chose this life but I have accepted it and now no one can help me all I want is the family to be united again for I still love all of you and it is the only way, said Zeeke who was still growling.

He and Sasha began to move toward the door that lead toward the stairs in the back of the factory Balto noticed this and he stepped forward.

Son don’t run your not like them your good, said Balto.

Zeeke stopped growling and started laughing and then crying, good I’m not good I murdered my own sister that #@!$ who would never let up on me who and I would’ve given my life for just so she would accept me but she never did I had hoped that she might change but as the rabies took over I learned that we are who we are and there is nothing we can do so even if she left me alone she would of started to do the same thing to another dog so I made sure that the #@!$ would never again hurt anyone and I killed Stacy because it was for our plan but it failed anyway and for the fact that I wanted more blood, finished Zeeke who was now still crying.

Balto looked at his son in disbelief he couldn’t believe what he had just heard.

I-I-I- think it is best that l kill you to-to save you from hurting anyone else my son, said Balto.

No!, cried Zeeke,

I’m going to be a father and you a grandpa and mom a grandma I won’t leave my unborn pup’s to the mercy of the world and the team I will protect them with my life!, cried Zeeke.

He lunged at his father and before Balto could react he found that he had cut’s and wound’s almost everywhere and that Zeeke had on of his paw’s on his throat.

I won’t let you kill me or anyone for that matter I will live and so will my mate and my unborn pup’s and now I will leave you here for I still want us to be together so mark my words I will return and when I do you mom and all of the rest of my family will finally be rabid,

He finished and to Balto’s surprise and horror.

Zeeke picked him up and tossed him from the room.

Balto smacked his head on the hard cement and the last thing he knew before he blacked out was two figures that had come running up the stairs and the two voices calling out.

Then they both opened the door and ran out onto the stairs and down them and into the dark snowy forest that lay ahead of them.

The work continued for a while healing the wounded and killing the rabid when the work was done the human’s left the bodies in there and set fire to the whole factory.

Come on Sasha were almost there, said Zeeke they were now running through the woods to the spot to meet the other’s in cause anything went wrong when they got their they saw 10 member’s of the pack Zeeke and Sasha slipped in and were silent.

We can still get them all for I remember that my cousin lead’s a pack of 3 hundred wolf’s and if we can gain control, said Zeeke.

We will be almost invincible and I think I can gain entrance all I have to do is get in pass a few test’s get to guard her and then challenge her to her place as leader and win if all goes well I should be the new leader, said Zeeke in a sly voice.

Why Zeeke that-that just might work you crazy sick pup that just might work, said Carver in a happy voice as the team made their way back to Nome and once there they settled in for the night Balto had a dream where his mom came to him:

Balto my son you must save Aleu she is in grave danger your son Zeeke is alive and is plotting to do her great harm you must save her and her pack or Nome is domed!

Balto woke suddenly from his dream his mom had come to him again and this had been the most shocking visit yet and the shortest one.

Balto turned his head to look out of the glassless window in his boat the sun was beginning to come up he sighed stretched got up and deiced he was going to go tell Jenna about his dream and hear her advice on it while Balto headed for Jenna’s while another wolf/dog was making his way to a cave where he knew his sister Aleu and her wolf pack was at.

When he got there he was not surprised to see two wolf sentries at the entrance.

Stop state your name and why you are here, said one wolf.

I am a humble wolf who would like to join this pack I here from rumor that the strong-kind-and wise Aleu lead’s here and my name is Zeek, said Zeeke.

That is true and I will take you to her now ”hey Dash come here and take my post”, said the other wolf.

Zeeke felt a feeling of glee and relief pass over him for his dad had once told him that one from his first litter went to live with Aleu and relief for he knew Dash would not recognize him for he had left before he was born and there for did not know what he looked like.

Then a wolf/dog that Zeeke took for Dash for he to had never seen him came to the cave entrance.

I’m here John and it look’s like we might get a new member right, asked Dash to the wolf that had asked his name and he had given a false one just in cause his non-understanding dad had came here and told Aleu.

Yes that’s right now you can come with me, said John.

He entered the cave and Zeeke followed without a word.

When he entered the cave he was surprised to see that it was a lot larger from the inside then it looked on the outside.

John continued to lead Zeeke deeper into the cave until they came to a small entrance to what looked like a cavern with no back for it was dark in there.

Wait here, said John.

Zeeke did wait John entered the cavern and it suddenly lit up and their was some whispered words from what Zeeke could here then the wolf called John said, you may enter now.

Zeeke entered the cavern he saw that it was kinda small but he said nothing.

You must be Zeek I’m Aleu, said a voice in the back.

Zeeke turned and saw his sister in the back of the cavern her coat gray just as his dad told him it was.

I’m told by John that it is your wish to join our pack is that correct, said Aleu.

Yes that is correct, said Zeek showing respect for her the leader and the clan by lowing his tail and lifting his head up thus exposing his throat.

Aleu is pleased that this wolf is showing her the respect that is due.

Have you been in a pack before Zeek?, asked Aleu.

Yes I well I was until two month ago that was, said Zeeke lowering his head a bit to show his fake sadness but not to much for he need her to think he was a proper wolf.

What happened tell me please?, asked Aleu in a gentle voice.

I was chosen to protect the alphas along with some other’s but I was given the highest command out of the other’s that were chosen and everything was going great but as I learned nothing lasts forever then at least some thirty human’s attacked us they used all their new weapons on us we were fighting the best we could but we were losing so the alpha male Carver or Mr. Carver as we called him some times ordered me to take his mate and flee through the back entrance I of course listened and took her then left and on the way to a small cave that was used for emergencies only she got caught in a trap I managed to free her and with a slight limp in her left paw we reached the cave when we got inside I offered to clean her wound but she said:

So I did not instead I went to the entrance to stand guard while she staid in the back we waited for hours but no one came then it was very late in the day when I turned around and walked to the back intending to tell her I would go get something to eat for us I turned around the big rock that hide her from view of any enemies incase we were attacked she would be safe back there and saw her laying down with her eye’s opened I cleared my throat but she took no notice of it I looked into her eye’s and saw their was no light in them a sudden and sad though came to me I lowered my head to her left paw and sniffed it I caught the smell of poison that human’s put in meat and leave out for us she was dead.

I felt like I had had failed her some how but I will never know for I stayed their and waited I could not return for he had also told me before I took off that I was not to return her until he himself or another one of our pack came to get me and his mate I waited for two weeks but no one came so I gave my respect’s then left I was going to come here for in my clan I heard rumors of you and thought that I would start over here and that is my sad story, said Zeeke making fake tear’s appear in his eye’s throughout his fake sad story.

That is indeed a very sad story but if I may ask how did she get poisoned?, asked Aleu.

I guess from the trap for on our way to the cave and on my way here I saw many trap’s I went and smelled them and found the smell of the same poison that took the alpha I was expected to protect with my life, said Zeeke.

Well I am truly sorry Zeek for your loss but you did every find out if anyone from your pack survived?, asked Aleu.

No not one and I still to this day don’t know if any of them are alive or not and the one I miss the most is my mate Sasha we had plans to start a family-I mean we err did everything and all we had to do is to wait and see if she was pregnant or not but I guess I’ll never know, said Zeek.

Aleu was about to say something when a wolf came running into the chamber.

Aleu one of the your pup has run off again!, said the wolf.

Not again Shadow we have to do something about her, said Aleu.

Luna I swear when I get my paw’s on you I’ll give you the worst  punishment yet for this one, said Shadow.

Aleu do you um mind if I help?, asked Zeek in a kind voice.

Aleu looked at him then at Shadow who nodded then Aleu looked back at him.

Yes you may, said Aleu.

Then they quickly left the room Zeeke thought to himself I must be I one who find’s this pup for if I find her and safely bring her back Aleu will have no choose but to let me into her pack or soon to be my pack.

When they left the chamber Shadow shouted at some wolves that Luna had run off again the wolves let out a sigh.

One day that pup is going to get onto some serious trouble and we might not be there to get her out of it, said another.

Shadow ran over and kicked him in the chest.

Zeeke could not understand why then he heard him say.

Don’t you ever EVER talk like that about my daughter EVER again now come and help us find her or else!

The wolf grumbled but started to walk toward the cave entrance and the other’s followed him in fear that he would kick them too if they didn’t go.

Zeek left the cave and started looking alone I must be the one to find her then he realized that he didn’t even know how she looked or smelled but he was not going to turn back now and about twenty minutes later he came into a clearing to find a black-gray-and-white pup about five or six month’s old he stepped forward then the pup looked up.

Luna right I’m Zeek, said Zeeke the pup looked frightened.

I don’t know you and I don’t know how you know my name, said Luna.

She began to step back words Zeek looked more alert for what was plainly seen to him and not to her is that there was a hidden trap a few step’s behind her.

Stop stepping back word’s!, said Zeek.

Oh and why should I you could just be trying to trick my mom told me not to go with wolves I don’t know---no stay away!, cried Luna for Zeeke had lunged at her for she was just one step away from losing her right hind leg or worse getting poisoned!

He barley managed to grabbed her by the scuff of her neck and pulled her away she then started screaming for what two reason’s one he had accidentally bit her and two she thought he would kill her.

Be quite and look, said Zeek through gritted teeth.

She stopped crying then she watched as Zeek picked up a small rock and tossed it at a bunch dry and dead leaves when the rock hit the leaves three row’s of sharp metal looking teeth sprang up and snapped shut with a crunch the rock was snapped clean in two.

Luna whimpered from Zeek’s jaw just then Aleu Shadow and a bunch of other wolves came running into the clearing.

Thank Aniu you found her if any-, Aleu stopped in mid sentence for she could see the wolf trap and the rock.

Mom-dad make this stranger let me go, said Luna.

Aleu and Shadow smiled at one another.

He’s not a stranger Luna and if he wants he can compete in the fights tomorrow and try and gain the right to protect us, said Aleu.

Zeeke’s eye’s widened in surprise Luna is the daughter of the alpha’s ha bonus thought Zeeke.

Aleu noticed that Zeek had a surprised look.

Did you not expect that Luna was my daughter, said Aleu.

Zeeke put down Luna.

No I thought she was just a pup in your pack that you keep a very close eye on, said Zeeke.

Aleu was not really listening for she saw the bite mark on the scuff of her daughter’s neck!

Luna what happened to you do you know who did that to you?, asked Aleu in a calm and gentle voice before Luna could say anything.

I did, said Zeeke lowering his head in shame for he had not meant to hurt her Aleu’s voice then just turned from gentle and calm to anger.

Why, said Aleu.

I came along and found her in this clearing and once I revealed myself to her she started to step back I told her to stop but she did not listen to me so when she was just one step away from losing her right hind leg I was just so worried that I picked her up a bit to hard, said Zeeke now lowering his tail.

Is this true Luna, asked Shadow.

Yes it’s true dad, said Luna.

A thought suddenly appeared in Zeek’s mind.

How did you get here so fast?, asked Zeek.

We heard Luna screaming and followed the sound, said Aleu.

We better get back to the cave and get that wound cleaned up we don’t want it to get infected, said Shadow.

Yes dad, replied Luna.

Then the horrid truth sank in oh no I just gave this pup rabies and I might have to kill her now because of my mistake thought Zeeke as they made their way back to the cave.

Balto was now just walking through Jenna’s doggie door for even though she was still in bandages the vet had allowed her to come home now he was determined to talk to Jenna about his dream.

He spotted Jenna she was just finishing her lunch when she was done he walked over to her.

Hi Jen, he said in a somewhat cheery voice.

Hi Balto now tell me what’s bothering you, said Jenna for she could tell that there was something wrong she could tell by the sound in his very voice.

Well I had this dream and my mom came to me again last night, said Balto.

In less then ten minutes he told her his entire dream.

Balto you don’t think that Zeeke might try and kill Aleu do you?, asked Jenna in a hushed voice.

Jenna after what he did to Sissy and Stacy I would not be surprised if he tried killed us, said Balto.

Jenna gasped!

He would never harm us in anyway, said Jenna.

Balto shook his head.

I’m not so sure about that Jenna I’m not so sure, said Balto.

Jenna got up from her bed wincing a little and nuzzled Balto.

Balto why don’t you stay here for a while for every since the-the incident we haven’t spent much time together, said Jenna.

Balto smiled, now that we haven’t done lately, said Balto with a slight chuckle in his voice and while Balto and Jenna got reacquainted with one another Zeeke was just walking back into the cave what am I going to do now all of my plan’s may now be destroyed.

Zeek I’ll show you where you can sleep, said Aleu.

Sure, said Zeek.

He was still thinking when a thought struck him.

Err Aleu how old is Luna?, asked Zeeke.

She is five months old why do you ask, said Aleu in a questing voice.

Oh no reason just curious that’s all, said Zeeke.

Prefect now if I can bend her will to my plan I might not have to kill her thought Zeeke.

Is she your only one or is their more, asked Zeeke.

Aleu looked like she might murder.

She had two brothers but we weren’t careful enough and a rival pack killed them, said Aleu.

I’m very sorry, said Zeeke but in his head.

Prefect no one else to worry about ha I might make this work though until Aleu is dead I must be careful or all my planning will mean nothing thought Zeeke.

It’s all right Zeek you did not know, said Aleu in a sad voice.

Luna you be a good girl and go see Sundra, said Shadow.

Luna rolled her eye’s.

Yes dad, said Luna and she ran off.

Sundra?, asked Zeeke.

She is our healer she can heal almost anything, said Shadow.

Well we had better get back, said Zeeke.

Shadow and Aleu nodded then they started to walk back to the cave to get some sleep for the sun was setting now.

She’ll be fine but she has started to complain about this pain that rakes through her whole body, said Aleu shaking her head slightly.

Oh no since I bit her so close to her head where the rabies affect most it must be starting early I must move up my plan schedule a bit thought Zeeke.

It’s good that she’s getting better but can’t Sundra do anything about the pain?, asked Zeeke in a kind voice.

No there is nothing but we must hope that it will go away with time well there is no need to worry over something that is none of your concern you had better get ready for the fights, said Aleu.

She left Zeeke to get himself ready for the fight’s.

Luna the pain will go away and when it does you will be free free to do as you please well I had better get ready for the fight’s I must win thought Zeeke.

All right lets do this, said Zeeke.

Shadow led Zeeke to a kind of stone ring Zeeke went to sit with the other’s who he would compete against.

All right the rules as you know it are simple but I’m going to repeat them just to make sure that everyone is on the same ground all those competing know this to win you must win at least 2 out of 3 fights or all 3 fights that you will come up against the first one who gets 2 out of 3 or win’s all 3 wins and that anyone can be killed with out punishment to the killer so knowing that anyone who dose not wish to compete can leave now, said Shadow no one moved.

Very well then we will have our first match Xian vs.Tucker you may begin at anytime, said Shadow.

Xian beat Tucker but Zeeke then killed Xian and there for won the match and some of the morning continued as such.

Zeeke who had not lost one fight was facing off with his last opponent Zion another one who had not lost one fight but in less then five minutes Zion was hanging limply in Zeeke’s jaw he was dead!

Zeeke had one the match and the post to protect Aleu and her family.

Well done Zeek you are the winner congrats, said Shadow.

Then he helped Zeeke drag Zion’s lifeless from the ring.

Now to get Luna on my side though I must be careful on how I do it thought Zeeke.

Aleu how is Luna?, asked Zeeke.

Aleu was walking over to him, she is alright but she say’s the pain gets worse each time it hit’s her, said Aleu her eye’s brimming with tears.

It alright Aleu it’ alright, said Shadow nuzzling Aleu to give her comfort and support.

It’s not alright what if she dose not get better what if-what if she dies from this I don’t think I could bear it, said Aleu who was crying now.

Aleu listen to me Luna is not going to die she is going to be fine, said Shadow.

She is not I-I-I-just have a feeling about this she is not going to be fine she is not, cried Aleu.

Then she ran off before Shadow could say anything.

Poor Aleu do you honestly think Luna will be fine Shadow?, asked Zeeke in a voice of convincing concern.

I don’t’ know ever since our other pup’s died Aleu has been a bit more careful and protective when it comes to Luna I think she feel’s that if she loses Luna her whole world might just collapse into nothing but pain and misery, said Shadow in a sad voice.

Well enough of this normally it would be Aleu’s job to show you the secret tunnels but given her current distress I think it would be best if I show you them instead, said Shadow.

Just a day or two now just a little more time and this pack will be come part of the pack thought Zeeke.

Shadow took Zeeke further into the alpha cave then he led Zeeke into a tunnel and instead of turning right which was the way some wolves got into the cave he turned left instead and they walked until they turned a corner and found a dead end at the end of the tunnel.

Look at this Zeek, said Shadow who had stopped walking.

Zeeke walked up to where Shadow was and stopped Shadow was pointing at a very thin crack in the wall it looked like a pup might fit through there.

Come on, said Shadow.

Before Zeeke could say anything Shadow squeezed himself into the crack and Zeeke followed him finding that it was a bit difficult to get through but he did and Shadow was waiting at the other side when Zeeke got out.

Now Zeek see this big rock, asked Shadow.

Zeeke nodded, if you use this route move this rock in front of the entrance to make sure that no one can follow friendly or not got it, said Shadow.

Yes I got it, said Zeeke with a faint smile appearing on his face.

Shadow showed him some more but they had to stop there for it was getting late and they would continue tomorrow.

Zeeke had just made it back to his chamber when he noticed Luna sneaking out again and he could see a look of pain and madness in her eye’s he smiled.

He deiced to follow Luna.

Why is this happing to me why is the pain so unbearable I feel like my very soul is on fire please Aniu help me please this pain is killing me, cried Luna pleading to the haven’s above.

Luna collapsed onto the ground and began to cry.

I have an answer to your question Luna, said Zeeke.

Luna shot up and turned around with quick speed then she bared her teeth.

What do you mean Zeek, asked Luna?

She stopped baring her teeth realizing she was not in any danger.

I-I-I gave you rabies, said Zeeke in a small voice.

Luna looked like she had been struck in the face.

No-no that can’t be your-your lying, said Luna.

She started crying again.

I am not lying on the day you almost got caught in that wolf trap was the day I transferred rabies into you but I did not mean to do it I never meant to, said Zeeke looking down.

You’re a lying sneaking good for nothing wolf I’m going to go tell my parents about you, said Luna who was just about to run when she let out a cry of pain and again collapsed onto the ground.

It will do you no good to tell anyone for they would see us both dead in an instant without a second thought, said Zeeke.

Luna was crying and moaning in pain.

My parents would never hurt me they love me they and the pack would give their very lives just to make sure that I live, said Luna.

Shortly after that she screamed in pain!

Why-why, she cried her eyes were wide and she was shaking and she had her paws on top of her head.

The pain is so intense can’t fight much longer ha-ha-ha-ha, laughed Luna.

She was laughing and crying now.

It is almost done you are almost done with the pain thought Zeeke.

Then Luna fell silent.

How-how long will the pain last how long will it torture me, said Luna with silent tears flowing down her face.

From the state your in I give you few more hour’s then you will be free of this pain forever, said Zeeke.

I can’t go home I’d-I’d end up killing them all one way or another, said Luna.

You can go home but not like this we must stay here until the pain is gone then we can go home and work things out together, said Zeeke in a kind voice.

We can work things out we-, Luna never finished what she was going to say for pain beyond pain ran through her whole body.

She screamed then went limp.

Zeeke quickly ran up to her for some dog’s died because the pain was more then they could handle Zeeke saw that she was breathing and realized that Luna must of passed out from the immensity of the pain he sighed then picked her up and took her back to the cave he slipped in through one of the secrete entrance’s then into his chamber and not so long later Shadow came bursting into the chamber not even bothering to knock.

Zeek have you seen-, said Shadow in a loud voice.

Shhhhh, said Zeeke interrupting.

Shadow with a paw he pointed to a corner of the chamber and Shadow saw that Luna was sleeping soundly whimpering now and then.

Shadow sighed apparently with relief.

Thank Aniu we were just about to go tell the pack that Luna had run off again how-how did she get here, asked Shadow with a note of suspicion in his voice?

Well we were just talking and she said she was tired and went off to sleep I picked her up and put her there so she would not be bothered, said Zeeke.

Shadow nodded and then walked quietly to where his daughter was sleeping he paused right above her deep in thought then Shadow turned around and walked to the entrance intending to leave but he stopped.

I’m going to leave her here for the night because I trust you but if I find that you have harmed her or done anything else to her I’ll make you wish you were dead got it, said Shadow in a stern voice.

I got it, replied Zeeke then Shadow left.

Balto had decided to stay with Jenna over the past few day’s tomorrow he would set out for Aleu’s pack so he could make sure she was safe and that Zeeke was no wares near there.

Jenna was just starting to wake up then she opened her eyes and looked up at Balto then smiled and nuzzled herself against his warm body.

She the rested her head on his paws he smiled at her and returned the nuzzle without hesitation then he layed his head on her shoulders.

Good morning my sweet, said Balto.

Jenna laughed a little.

Good morning to you too how did you sleep, asked Jenna.

Not all that well, said Balto yawing.

Still thinking about Aleu, said Jenna in a concerned voice.

Jenna do you think that I should go to Aleu, asked Balto?

Jenna was about to reply when Kodi came bursting into the house through the doggie door.

Dad we have a problem, said Kodi.

What’s wrong son, said Balto standing up.

Spike’s mate Gertrude was found dead and the word’s FROST were found etched into her right side, said Kodi who looked disgusted.

Dose Spike want me, asked Balto?

Yes-yes he dose, said Kodi in shaky voice.

Well then I had better go I’ll be back soon OK Jenna, said Balto.

Jenna nodded and Balto gave her a quick kiss then left with Kodi.

A few minutes later they reached the boiler room Balto wanted to get inside quick for it look like a blizzard might hit and he wanted to be back with Jenna when it did hit.

Once he and Kodi had gotten inside the boiler room.

I am sorry for Gertrude um-were you two expecting pup’s, asked Balto?

Spike shook his head.

No though we had talked about it but we had never gotten around to well you know doing anything, said Spike a bit shyly.

Is their anything else, asked Balto?

Spikes face went from sad to stern.

Yes there is I know that Zeeke escaped that night along with some other’s and is most likely still alive and you don’t think they might be behind this do you, asked Spike?

I don’t really know I would never of thought that Zeeke would ever be able to commit such crimes as I found out a month ago, said Balto.

I think that they might be behind this but until I can get more evidence so I can’t point a paw at anyone, said Spike shaking his head.

Well if that’s all I need to get back to Jenna, said Balto.

The other dog’s were let up and all of them walked back to a small cave that they had found.

It is very simple Luna with this pack rabid and my leader mate and rest of “the pack” in this pack we will capture the mail team turn them all rabid send one pack to lure their friend’s out to an arranged meeting point and then start over from the beginning of the plan at the part of turning the dog’s rabid, said Zeeke.

So you are not really Zeek but you are called Zeeke and you have other members of the pack that your in and I’m kind of confused how do you plan to summon them, asked Luna?

Zeeke smiled again.

I have just summoned them though with this blizzard going on I don’t think that they will be here for a few day’s which might hamper some of the plan’s we made to take down Nome, said Zeeke.

Luna nodded and licked the rest of the foam off her mouth and to he surprise the foam tasted very sweet. Zeeke the form taste great, said Luna.

With her under my wing the chances of the plan’s success has been increased and is now getting closer to being complete at last thought Zeeke.

He then laid down and soon drifted off to sleep.

I wonder how Aleu is doing I wish I could go see if she is OK but with this blizzard I would only get lost thought Balto.

He looked outside a window in Jenna’s house.

Balto are you still worried about Aleu, asked Jenna?

Then Rosie came down the stairs.

She was having a hard time getting the dog food out from under a cupboard finally she got the bag out and pored a good amount of dog food into Jenna’s and Balto’s bowl.

Now you two eat your breakfast while I go get dressed, said.

She left the room.

The wolf remained silent Zeeke smiled.

You can’t fight it no one can fight the inevitable, said Zeeke who as now looking the dog in the face.

You are the last one the last one to turn all the other’s have given in to the rabies why don’t you I assure you once you do the pain will be over a whole lot sooner, said Zeeke.

Zeeke just sighed.

Your a good wolf I would hate it if you died-hey stop him, said Zeeke for the wolf was now clawing at his own throat he hit the jugular.

Zeeke bent his head down to look at the wolf no light came from his eye’s he was dead!

Sasha heard the screams she got up and readied herself to fight if needed though her pregnancy made it hard for her to stand so she was barely standing up and her legs shaking just as a wolf came walking in Sasha growled.

Luna and the others have returned also the blizzard is finally starting to subside, said Dash.

Dash nodded then left the cave room Zeeke smiled to himself for of all of the wolves Dash his wolf/dog brother had accepted the rabies the easiest and he also followed orders perfectly.

Yes Zeeke he told me that the devil gave him new life and the ability to live forever and young as long as he kept killing but he hadn’t killed in so long that he became mortal again there for he is now dead and the others are taken care of NONE ESCAPED, said Luna.

Yeah Drew might even come looking for you, said Balto as they were talking Rosie and her parent’s came down stairs to light a fire in the fireplace.

Rosie’s dad went out side to collect some firewood while her mom went to make come hot chocolate in the kitchen and Rosie sat down with Jenna laying at her feet.

Then eight wolves came in through the doggie door and they were all growing Jenna shot to her feet and started growing along with Balto and Crystal.

Rosie screamed her mom then came hurrying into the living room to see what was wrong when she saw the wolves she stopped dead in her tracks and as soon as she did the wolves attacked.

Balto ran forward and pounced on one of them then and started biting him.

Jenna saw a wolf go straight for Rosie she tackled the dog and literally started ripping her apart.

Crystal who had been trained by her wolf mom killed one wolf then she saw one going for Rosie’s mom.

She rammed him in the side so hard that it knocked him off his feet she then made short work of him.

Then Rosie’s dad came back in with the fire wood and he saw the wolves he swore then dropped the wood and ran to get his gun he came back and with four shot’s finished the rest for Jenna and Balto had killed one each Rosie ran toward her mom and buried her face in her mom’s clothes and cried.

Balto noticed one wolf was still alive but barely Balto walked up close to the dying wolf the wolf saw him and smiled then he said five words that made Balto feel he had ice in his vein’s he turned around to see Jenna standing right behind him she was pale white even part of her red coat looked whiter because of those words the wolf had said Balto kept running the words over in his head Zeeke will send more wolves.

Jenna then collapsed onto the floor she had fainted.

Spike lifted up his ears for he heard a what sounded like a dog howl Spike got up from his laying spot by the fire place and went out the doggie door and onto the porch and out onto the ground where he saw a figure in the storm.

Is there something I can do for you, shouted Spike the figure said nothing for a minute then.

What’s your name, shouted the figure.

Spike my name is Spike, shouted Spike though there was something familiar about the voice he just couldn’t put his paw on it.

What can’t hear to well in this storm can you come again, shouted the figure.

SPIKE, shouted Spike at the top of his lungs.

Then something hard rammed into him from behind and sent him flying three feet.

Good work, said a voice above him the voice that sounded familiar he looked up and who he saw made his heart beat faster and his blood run colder he jumped to his feet.

Spike looked around to see wolves were emerging from the darkness and were making a circle around him so he could not run back to his house where he thought he had been tricked into leaving just then he was knocked off his feet again and as soon as he hit the floor he felt a horrible pain in his neck he looked around and up to see the figures teeth at his throat as his blood painted the white ground red he looked into those pitiless eye’s Zeeke’s eye’s and knew he had no hope.

Jenna opened her eye’s to find herself on Rosie’s bed then Jenna felt a familiar muzzle nuzzle her.

Jenna your all right thank Aniu, said Balto.

 Jenna turned her head and looked at her beloved mate and smiled slightly, wha-what happened, asked Jenna.

You fainted Rosie saw the whole thing and ran towards you Rosie’s dad locked our Doggie door I think to keep any other wolves out then he went to look at you to make sure you were OK then picked you up and brought here then left, said Balto.

Jenna looked down and started crying Balto nuzzled her and this time he did not stop, Jenna tell me what’s wrong please, asked Balto?

Jenna buried her face into Balto’s chest.

It’s-it’s well Zeeke-ke, stammered Jenna.

What is it about him, Balto asked kindly?

She just continued to cry and Balto could not get another word out of her then a door slammed.

I was just over to Tim’s and I found his dog Spike ripped apart along with him and I went over to Sarabi’s to find one of her parents murdered along with Sam, said Rosie’s dad.

Balto wake Jenna up if she’s still asleep and Rosie go get a jacket and please bring one for your mom, said Rosie’s dad.

She then walked out the door and down the stairs with Balto right behind her.

Then she took off running with the other wolves behind her and a few seconds later they arrived at a clearing where Zeeke and the other wolves were at.

Good you heard me Luna now we need to talk and discuss what to do next for I’m not mistaken Nome may be alerted to our presence now and what I suggest is that we station at least ten wolves outside ever home in Nome to catch them by some surprise if we can, said Zeeke.

Dash and his group arrived then Zeeke quickly explained the plan.

Now I think that it’s time for a family reunion don’t you agree Dash, said Zeeke.

Yes, said Dash then he put his head and ears low Zeeke signed he knew what that was about but he was not going to go into it.

All right let’s move out, Zeeke shouted to his whole pack and they departed.

Daddy where are we going, asked Rosie?

They were now out in the slowly ebbing storm.

We’re going to the town hall where we will be safe, said Rosie’s dad then they heard some wolves howl.

Come let’s pick up the pace, said Rosie’s mom who then glanced at her husband who had his rifle in his hand and a hand gun on his belt then as Jenna was walking she picked up her ear’s for just barely she heard a voice that stopped her dead in her tracks Balto stopped and looked at her in concern.

Jenna what’s wrong, asked Balto?

But Jenna did not answer.

Come on Jenna we have to keep moving, said Balto in desperation then Balto heard laughter!

He and Jenna turned around to see a figure coming out of the darkness when the figure was close enough to make out who it was Jenna felt her blood run ice cold and Balto felt his heart speed up.

She now looked at Zeeke her son then utterly petrified she began to back away slowly.

I don’t think so mom, said Zeeke just as he said that wolves started emerging from around them Jenna looked around and let out a whimper of fear Balto heard this and rushed to her side as the wolves closed into form a circle.

We can do this the easy way or the bone breaking way now that the team has left Nome, said Zeeke.

Jenna looked down in shame and regret just then a voice rang out.

Balto then found himself an opening and he placed his jaws around his sons throat and with out drawing blood twisted it until he heard a CRACK then Zeeke’s body went limp.

Balto then let go and Zeeke’s body fell to the ground Balto looked into the face of his dead son to find a look of sadness and regret.

Balto sighed then he realized Jenna he turned around to see her silently crying.

Jenna stood there for a few minutes but did not answer Balto and he was just about ask her again when.

Jenna our son would not of done that what was there before us was a shadow of our son for he died when the rabies took over, said Balto.

I know it’s just I never gave up hope until now but now our son can truly rest in piece, said Jenna.

She and Balto then looked across the area where all the dead bodies of the pack were littered then Balto and Jenna gasped then they both smiled for in the distance they could of sworn that they could see a form of Zeeke smiling as he faded away and the sun rose up and the storm that had cast all this shadow and misfortune was finally broken.
