Balto II: Offspring's Journy

     Balto was asleep, but was moving around in his boat as if he was running. He was dreaming, but, not a very good dream.

     Balto awoke, like he had been doing for a while, he stood, and walked to the end of the boat. He looked over the edge, it seemed higher than normal, but he jumped anyway. Once he laned, he looked tward Jenna's house.  It took much longer this time, but when he finnely mad it, he saw Rosie standing out side, crying.

     "Oh no."Balto said to himself and ran into the shed. He ran over to Jenna, who wasn't moving, he looked down at the pups, five, but none were moving also. "How could this happen." Balto cried. Then it went black and dark blue. "Balto... Balto, wake, up!" A voice yelled

     He felt frezzing water smash into him, he woke screaming. "Jenna!" He yelled. He looked up at what had woke him, Boris. "Jenna? Oh, I see, you have another dream again." Boris chuckeld, in his russain voice. "Yeah but not a good one." Balto replyd.

     Boris gave him an odd look. "Yes, but Balto its just a dream." He said. "Yeah... well, Im going to check on Jenna." Balto barked and jumped off the boat. He ran to her house and went to the shed. He took a deep breath, and walked opend the door.

     He saw Jenna, and she was doing fine. " Come on in, they don't bite." She said smiling, he walked in and looked in the basket. "Atleast not yet." Jenna smiled. Balto stared at them, six, just like in his dream, but this time they were alive, and healthy.

      "Oh, Jenna, thier all so beautiful." Baolto wisperd. "Yes, but now they need names." Jenna replyd. "Oh.... yeah." Balto said. "Lets wait a few weeks, so thier personality's will help us." Balto said again. Jenna nodded her head and smiled.

     About three weeks later, the pups eyes were open. "I think now is a good time." Jenna said. Balto nodded. The first pup they looked at was red, she had darker red bangs, her under coat was yellow-cream, and one of her eyes was brown and green, the other was brown. "Saba?" Balto segested. "Perfect!" Jenna smiled.

     Then they looked at another pup with bangs. He was male, and his under coat was grey, and his eyes were blue. "He looks strong, so a strong name is.... Zuko?" Jenna said. "Yes, again perfect." Balo chuckeld.

     There was only one brown one, she looked much like Balto, she had blue eyes too. "I love her eye collor, but blue doesn't seem like a good name." Balto said. "Oh! How about Aleu?"Jenna asked. Balto smiled and nodded.

      The next pup was female, she had a white muzzle, and a red face. "Songa, thats beautiful."Jenna smiled. "Yes, yes it is."Balto said. Then they looked at the smallest pup, he was red and had light blue eyes. "Aaww, he's very small, like a, dingo, oh that perfect Dingo." Balto howled.

     They named the last pup Kodiack, and he was strong looking. "Saba, Zuko, Aleu, Songa, Dingo and Kodi, our liitle puppies." Jenna sighed. Balto smiled "Yeah, our little pupies." He said. It was getting late, so Balto went home to Boris and told him about the pups names.

     The pups were eight weeks old, and it was time for them to be adopted. They were all very excited. "Aaawwwoooooo, aaawwwooooo." Aleu howled. The other pups had thier paws over thier ears. "Aleu, honny, please don't howl like that." Jenna said calmly. Aleu stoped and Songa sighed.

     "Oh, Im sorry momma. It just happends when Im excited." Aleu barked, but was then takeld. "Im excited too! I can't wait to get a human! And chew on their socks haha." Saba cheered and was then takeld by Aleu. Then Dingo jumped to the top of the box. "Poppa! Are you gunna get a human too?" He asked.

     Balto winked at him, "Naahh, see, humans like cute little puppies like you." He said, rubbing Dino's head with his paw. "Not old grizzly grown-up's like me." He laughed. Then a you boy walked up with his mom.

     "These are Rosie's puppies momma. Jenna had um'. I Like... this one." He said, picking up Dingo. The pups waved bye to him, and Jenna smiled, "I know that human, he'll be a good boy for Dingo." She said to Balto, who didn't seem as happy.

     Soon after a girl came up, "Look mommy! pupies!" She said. The pups danced around trying to seem playful, she then chose Saba, and walked away with her. "Bye Saba." The pups called, she waved back until she was out of sight.

     Then four people walked up, a man took Zuko, another man took Songa, a young girl took Kodi and a old man grabed Aleu. They all walked away, and Jenna cryed alittle. "Its OK Jenna, like you said, all their human are from around here." Balto said, trying to comfert her.

Aleu

     The old man took held me for a long time, I looked up at him, he saw me and smiled. He rubbed my head, "You'll make a grate gift for her" He said. I didn't know what he was talking about, but I licked his face and he laughed.

     Then I saw a larg house, we walked inside and he took me to a small room. He put me on the floor, and walked away, I looked around the room, it had larg boxes and buckets. A storage room I thought.

      I heard the door open, I saw him with a little box in his hands. He picked me up and put me inside it. It was dark but I wasn't scared. I felt him move the box and heard him talking. "Here's you gift." He said. Suddenly the box opend and an old woman held me, smiling.

Dingo

     The little boy took me to a very big house. Once we walked inside, I saw a stare case, and raced to the top of it. Then we walked down a hall way and he turned into a small room. He droped me infont it and told me to stay, so I did.

     "Hey dad look!" He cheered. "What is it Tucker?" A man asked. "Momma let me get a puppy!" He said. The man came out and held me, I waged my tail and my licked his face. "Hmhm, cute, take good care of him Tucker." The man said.

     He handed me to, who I now know as, Tucker. "OK boy, lets go to my room, and I'll sneak you some turky meat." Tucker said and I fallowd him to a small room. When he left I sat by his bed. "This looks like It'll be fun."

     Saba

     "Look uncle Max! She'll be perfect!" The girl said. "What is it?" He asked. "She'll be great for your team when she's older." She said. The man stood up and looked at me. "Doesn't it look, uuhhh, small Susie?" He asked. "No! And its a she not an it!" Susie yelled. "Okay, well whats her name?" Uncle Max asked. 

   Susie looked back at me. "Uuhhh, she doesn't have one yet." She said slowly. "She looks a bit like my old lead dog, Gewn, doesn't she?" Her uncle said. "She does! So is Gwen her name?" Susie asked. "Yeah I guess."

     Gwen I thought. That was a fine name, I liked it better than my old one. "Gwen, lets go home!" Susie called, walkin out the door. I jumped to my feet and fan after her and jumped into her car.

     Songa

     The man placed me in a big box-like area. I looked on the walls. I saw blood, it was very old, but still scared me. Then I heard growling, I wemperd. "Shut up!" The man said and slapped me on the back of my head. Then a door opend and a larg male husky ran tward me at full speed.

     He grabed me in his jaws and shook his head. He then droped me and kicked me. I closed my eye's, I new I was going to die. But I heard someone taking the mean dog away. Then a felt warm hand grab me. I looked up, it was a girl, she had a badge on her shirt. "Don't worry girl." She said.

     I new where she was oin to take me, so when we got out side I jumped and ran. She, to my surprise, stood there and wached me run. I ran until I found my friend, Nakita. "Help!" I cried. I was weak, and fell. She came running over. "Songa! What happend!" She asked. "Dog fight." I whiperd.

     Kodi

     My new owner, who told me was Samantha, put me in a big backyard. "This is your new home Kodi." She said. "Rosie told me your name." She said again.

     I simled at her and began to explore my new home, I found that my dog house was, rather big. I found that there was a doggie-door. I loved my new home, and then I saw that the inside of the house was great too.

     I found a small bed next to a larger one. "THats where you sleep, and thats where I sleep." Samantha said. I walked on the small bed, it was very cozzy. I curled up and fell asleep.

     Aleu

     I had lived lived with the old couple for, about three mounths, and I loved every day I did. The old man's name was Jeff, and his wife's was Sally. I slept with them at night and sat with Sally while she waited  for Jeff to come home from work.

     They also gave me a new name, Clara. I went by both of my names, when I talked to my family I went by, Aleu. But when I was home, I went by Clara. But it didn't matter much.

     Finnely, Jeff came home from work. "Where have you been? You would ave been home two hours ago normaly." Sally asked. "Yeah.. They had some trubble, and asked me to help." Jeff answered. Sally smiled. "That was nice of you.". I went and scratched on the door. "Oh, I'll let you out Clara." Jeff said. He let me out and I trotted to go and find Saba.

Dingo

      After a few months, I realized I was having so much more fun! I  had a new home, a new master, and a new name, Jake. Tucker and I were like brothers, we never went anywhere without eachother, unless he want to school.

     "Jake! You wanna go see your brothers and sisters?" Tucker asked. Then it hit me, all the kids that took us-all but Zuko, Aleu and Songa, but they still agreed to come- had agreed to meet up after school and let the pups play. I ran to Tucker and he hooked a leash on my coller and we dashed out the door. 

     As we walked, I could see Aleu. "Hey! Aleu! Wanna come walk with us?" I asked. "Nah, Im looking for Saba, or what ever her new name is." Aleu chuckled. "Okey, see ya!" I replyd, running off with Tucker.

Saba

     I was running with Susie, to the spot where we would see my siblings again, and I just couldn't stop running! "Gwen! Slow down!" Susie exlaimed. Oh, woops! I slowed down. Then, I saw that we were there. I sat, and waited.

     Susie caut up to me, but, as she did, a bad scent enterd my nose. Songa I could smell her, but somthing else. Another dog? One of her friends, mabey, but. Still. Somthing else. Blood! I smelt blood! She could be hurt! Dieing! Or-or I couldn't push the last thought into my head.

     "Songa!" A cried. I ran twards the scent. "Gah! Gwen!" I heard Susie whine. "Songa! Where are you?" I called. I heard a voice. "Its okey! I-I'll go for help!" I saw a light blue dog, staring down at somthing red. I rushed over. I was taken aback.

      Songa

     I saw a red thing come over me. Then it ran off. I don't remember mutch after that. Then I saw many figures over me.   "Wha? Where am I?" I asked. "Oh Songa!" My mother cried and fell over me, nuzzling me. "Your OK!" Everyone was saying. "Yes, Im OK. Can I go now?" I asked. My father nodded.

     A few months later, I was about a year old, and was taking a wlk with Nakita. "You hear that?" I purcked up my ears to try and hear what my friend was talking about. I could hear footsteps, and whoever was making them, they were running from somthing or some one. We heard it coming closer, and then we could hear panting.

     We looked back and saw a black, white, and gold Akita running tawrds us, he was bleeding. Then we saw a brown, big and angry looking figure running behind him. We squented thier eye's, and then, relized what was chasing the young dog.

Kodi    

A while after Songa was attacked, I heard my owner talking to some older man, about becoming a sled dog. I was so happy! Now I could be like my dad!

     I was about a year old, and I got to meet the team I would soon be on. The lead dog was named, Kirby, the next two, Ralph and Dusty, then two other dogs who's names I never learned. I soon became a member of the team, after a little training, of cours.

     After a month or so, we got stuck in a snow storm, and got stuck in the woods. Sadly, Ralph and Kirby steped in some metal traps, and couldn't run. After we got ack to Nome, the best thing happend, my brother Dingo was put on the team!! And not long after, Jen, the love of my life, was put on the team.

Aleu    

     Sally and I didn't see much of Jeff for a while, he'd always come home later, and later. But one night, he came home drunk, and mad. "Where have you been?" Sally asked. He glared at her. "What?" He moaned. "Where have you been?" She said slowly.

      "Shut up!!" He shouted, throwing a glass bottle at her. It hit her head, and shatterd. "Whats wrong with you?!?" She screamed. I ran to her. "Get out! Dog!!" He yelled and threw another bottle at me. It missed, but shatterd on the wall, little bits of glass stabed me, I whimperd.

       "Shut it!" He, again, shouted, throwin yet another bottle at us. It hit Sallies face, knocking her out. I jumped at him and grabed his wrist. He banged my head with another bottle until I let go.

     I couldn't see a lot. But he poured something over Sally, himself, and most of the house. Then he lit a small stick on fire, and dropped it. The house whent up in flames. I pulled on his leg. "Come on!" I whined. He kicked me off him and sat down. I ran, I ran until my legs could carry me no longer. I was far from Nome.

 Dingo

     Running was the best thing to do those day's. And after being put on my brothers team, everything changed. First, I met the beautiful Dusty, she liked me, but seemed to like my brother more. Then we met Jen, who liked me a LOT, but, Kodi liked her more than I did. It was all so confusing. But in the end, I got Dusty, and Kodi got Jen.

      Dusty and I never realy had any alone time. But when we did, we used it. But not at ALL did I think anything would happen. But, somthing did happen. "Diiiinngooo." Dusty called. "Yeahh." I said. She batted her eye's many times. I gulped. "Uh, what?" I studderd.

     I heard two words, then ran off, screaming with happyness. I saw my brother. "KODIKODIKODI!!!  KKOOOOODIIIIII!!!!!" I shouted. I takeld him. "What what?" He shouted. "IM GONNA BE A DAAAD!!!" I cheered. "You? a dad? That makes me, an uncle!" He shouted.

     Saba

     When I was about two, I was training with a few teammates of mine, when I saw a white dog, watching us. I stopped and walked up to him. "Can.... I.... Help you.." I said between breaths. "No, I just wanted to meet, you." The male said.

       I shook my head a few timmes. Why would he want to meet me? I thought. "Well, uh, thanks. My names Gwen, whats yours?" I asked. "Kenai. Can you, meet me at the boiler room, tonight?" He studderd. I nodded.

     That night I waited for him. He came not long after I did. "Hey." I smiled. He grinned. "I just wanted to ask, if we could, you know.." He said. "Ooohh. I see." I said. "Well?" He asked. I nodded. And nuzzled him.
