Domingo nuzzles his mate and says, 'will you and the pups be OK when I'm gone?'

'we should be fine, see ya later sweetheart.'Blitz said

'bye, love ya.' Domingo said, trotting away still facing his mate and pups.

'love ya too.' Blitz said, waving goodbye.

Blitz watched as her mate set off on a hunting trip with the rest of the pack. she stood up and picked up their pups and put one on her back and carried one in her mouth. she walked to the back of the den, like they usually did when it was time to turn in for the night.

then one pup asked, 'mamma? wheres daddy going?'

'he's going to get food for you two, because your hungry all the time.' Blitz said as she rubbed her nose on the pups belly. the puppies both laughed then as Blitz hummed them a lullaby the quickly fell into a deep sleep.

when it was a little after three in the morning both pups started pulling at Blitz's ears to wake her up and they said, 'mamma, mamma, wake up, come on its time to get up!'

Blitz groaned then roll over on her other side. but the pups didn't give up the ran around her and pulled her ears again till Blitz gave it and said, 'OK, OK, I'm up.'

'yay, lets go! come on!' one pup said as he ran out of the den.

the two pups raced each other as Blitz, still half asleep followed them to the normal resting spot in the early mornings.

'almost there mamma, come on, hurry up!'

'OK. hold on.'

Blitz dashed up to the pups and sat besides them as they lied down on a grassy cliff, Blitz yawned and plopped down on the grass.

the pups started smiling because down below the cliff was a small herd of elk. and the pups stood up and wagged their tails as the saw their dad and the rest of the pack chasing after the elk. the watched the whole hunt as Blitz lazily slept.

after a few hours, the pups were play fighting and Blitz was keeping a close eye on them. Domingo and the pack trotted to the cave carrying a large elk in their mouths. Blitz stood up and strolled over to her mate. she nuzzled him and said, 'so....how was the hunt?'

'it was very good, lots of elk out there.' Domingo said, holding up their kill.

'thats good.'

the pups ran up to Domingo and said, 'daddy, daddy, we saw ya hunt, it was so cool.'

Domingo smiled and ripped off chunks of meat to pass out to the pack. Domingo eat first, he was the new alpha and Blitz too. since Alue was getting older she told Domingo to take care of the pack.

after the alphas ate Alue came up to the carcass and grabbed a bloody hunk of meat and trotted back to her resting spot in the shade.

Blitz perked up her ears and said, 'did you hear that?'

Blitz had a keen sense of hearing so she usually heard everything before it even got a mile close to them. but this didn't sound like a rabbit or an elk passing by. this sounded much larger than that. it was humans.

'no, what is it Blitz?' Tala asked, as the pack got into attack formation

'its humans.' Blitz said

'hurry you and the pups stay in the den, we'll take care of this.' Domingo said

'OK, be careful everyone.' Blitz said before she and the pups dashed inside

the pack hid in the bushes ready to attack when the humans would come.

the humans walked through the woods and then one asked another, 'hey Marshall, you sure this is the place?'

'positive.' Marshall said, getting down on his hands and knees to sniff the ground. the wolves were confused. the man stood up and pointed towards the cave and said, 'over there.'

the men walked to the cave when the pack jumped out in front of them and snarled. the men jumped back. Marshall shouted at them and started to throw rocks and sticks at them. the wolves winced in pain and fell to the ground from being pelted by the boulders. the pack ran into the bushes but Domingo stayed be would not leave his mate. Domingo told his mate and pups, 'Blitz?!?'

'yeah?'

'i need you and the pups to run as soon as i say so, OK? run out the back hole in the cave and run away as far as you all can. and when the men leave I'll come get you, OK, ready? set-'

'i love you Domingo.' Blitz said trying to hold back her tears, she new why these men were hear, Domingo would never be able to come get her, Blitz will be no more a wolf.

'i love you too Blitz. OK now run!'

Blitz held on pup in her mouth and put on on her back. she squeezed through the hole and bolted away from home as far as she could go, she didn't stop till it was night fall.

'mamma, where are we?' one pup asked

'I'm not sure, but look in here, a place to sleep. go on in my darlings.'

the pups trotted in the hollowed out tree but Blitz stayed outside. she kissed each pup goodnight and howled. and within a few minutes a large jeep was skidding to a stop in front of her. then Marshall jumped out and said, 'hello Andrea, have you yet understood the wolves.'

Blitz couldn't talk to a human so the Indian mumbled some words them he said, 'OK go head, you speak now.'

'i have understood the wolves.'

'good, so ready to go home now?'

'no.'

'what? don't you wanna go back to your real life?'

'i have a new life, better than before, i have a mate and pups, i cant leave them now Marshall.'

'i was afraid you'd say that.' Marshall said, as he pulled out a dart gun and fired it at Blitz.

                                                     *BLACK OUT*

'come on Andrea, wake up.' Marshall said

Blitz sat up and looked down at her hands. she yelled, 'what have you done with me! you ruined my life! i have nothing to live for as a human. i wish to stay a wolf.'

'I'm sorry Andrea but-'

Blitz interrupted him and yelled, 'my names Blitz not Andrea!'

'OK, OK Blitz, you have your whole life ahead of ya as a human.'

'no i don't. i had a life and you stole it from me, right under my paws.' Blitz looked down at her hands and clenched them into fists.

'how do i change back Marshall?' Blitz asked

'i shall not do it.' Marshall said

'then i wish to do it by my self. where do i go, you can at least tell me that, here lets make a deal. if i can reach the person who can change me back you let me live my life happily as a wolf forever. but if i don't make it then i shall stay human.' Blitz said

Blitz held out her hand and said. 'deal?'

'fine. deal.' Marshall said as he shook Blitz hand

'OK where do i go?' Blitz said

'Andrea-' Marshall blurted out, he froze and looked at Blitz who was growling like a wolf. 'i mean Blitz,' Blitz calmed down and listened. 'you need to go to the town of Nome and look for a man named, um, what was the name???'

Marshall sighed and looked down. then he snapped his fingers and shouted, 'Leo, thats his name. find him and he will change you if you make it.'

'what house does he live in?'

'no one knows, he doesn't ever come out of his house.'

'then how am i suppose to find him?!?'

'thats up to you to figure out.'

Blitz sighed and started for the door when Marshall said, 'wait,' Blitz looked at him as he went on, 'just to make sure you stick to our little bet'

Marshall mumbled some words and made a smoke of dust circle around Blitz. she then said, 'what did you do?'

'I'm timing you, i gave you three days, and if you cant find him in three days, let alone find your way back to Nome through these woods,' Marshall said looking out the cabins window. then he went on, 'but i wish you luck, my friend, follow your heart.'

'wait but Marshall,' but Marshall vanishes in a puff of smoke. Blitz yelled, 'MARSHALL WAIT!!!' but Marshall was no where in sight, Blitz sighed and ran out of the cabin. she saw the jeep in the drive way and said, 'sweeeeeeet'

she ran up to the jeep and jumped over the car door into the drivers seat. and she put it in drive and said, 'wait wolves don't drive!'

she stopped and looked at herself in the side view mirror and frowned, 'well this wolf does!' she said as she slammed her foot on the brakes, the jeep burst full of speed and bolted through the woods.

'where is Nome?!?' she said over and over again looking around for any sight of the town. she frowned and sighed looking at the sky. then she said, 'I'll have to look again in the morning.'

she curled up in the car seat and fell into a deep sleep.

                                     *WHAT THE PACK IS DOING*

'pups, hey you there boys?' Domingo said

'daddy, were in here, in the tree.' one pup says

Domingo digs the pups out of the tree den and hugs them and smiles with joy. he then sits down and looks at the pups, still smiling. he looks around and says, 'wheres your mother?'

the pups look at there paws trying to avoid the question. Domingo's smile turns into fear and asks again, 'what happened to her?'

one pup starts to say trying to hold back his tears, 'we think she was captured by a human in a jeep, but i think that was only my dream I'm not really sure.'

Domingo stands up and paces, 'this is horrible!' then he pulls both pups on his back and says, 'I'll bring you two back to the den and I'll go out to look for her, OK?'

'OK daddy.' the pups say

Domingo rushes into the den and puts the puts down, he nuzzles them both and heads off to look for Blitz. he howls for her again and again but no answer.

                                                   *BACK TO BLITZ*

she sits up in the jeep and rubs her ears, 'whose making all that noise?' she questions herself

Blitz looks around but sees nothing with her new human eyes, she moans and jumps out of the car. she walks to the tree next to the jeep and leans on it. she has a frown on her face, thinking of everything she'll miss as a human, to never see her sons again, or her beloved mate. never to see her family, to her they were her real family, the ones who cared about her when she thought no one else did. she shook those memorize out of her head and looked out into the unknown vast forest. then there was a sharp snap coming from the woods, might have been a twig. Blitz looks up and before she can even get to the jeep a wolf lunged at her. the wolf pins her to the tree and snarled at her. since she was once wolf she knows there language so she understood them quite well. the wolf then spoke, 'what have you done to her!'

to a normal human the wolves words would have just been barks and snarles, but to Blitz it was a language she understood so well, even better then she understood the human language you would think. she said in a panicking voice, 'i don't know what your talking about, please don't hurt me.'

the wolf froze but didn't relaxed from his pose, he still pinned Blitz to the tree and said, 'who can you understand me, your a human, I'm a wolf?'

Blitz lied and said, 'i don't know i just understand you.' well it wasn't really a lie, she didn't know how she could still understand them. but maybe it was a kind act by Marshall so if she had to stay human she would at least be able to talk with them even if they would never know who she really was, the wolf they all loved, Blitz.

'well, that doesn't madder. but tell me where is my mate? what have you done to her?!?'

Blitz looked away from his face hoping she wolf wouldn't hurt her, the wolf just stared into her eyes and said, 'is that really you?'

'i don't know what your talking about.'

'what happened to you?' the wolf asked still in a trance. 'is that you Blitz?'

the wolf let her slide down the tree onto the forest floor and turned to face her eyes, 'please tell me, it that you Blitz?'

Blitz froze and looked up at the wolf and nodded. the wolf nuzzled her but Blitz stood up and walked to the jeep with her head down. the wolf said, 'Blitz its me, Domingo, your mate.'

she turned around and with her eyes starting to tear up, said, 'how can i be your mate for all i am is a human not wolf. how can you ever love me.' tears ran down her face as she jumped into the jeep.

'i will always love you Blitz, no madder what happened.' Domingo said, jumping into the jeep too.

'i should have never done this, i shouldn't have stayed in the pack. now looks hats come out of it, pain and suffering.'

'thats not true Blitz.'

'yes it is. i can never see the pack again, they will never believe that i was Blitz. and what about the pups, if they learn to trust a human then they might go up to any human in the woods, what if the human was a hunt the pups would be killed.'

Domingo couldn't respond to that. but Blitz went on, 'i want you to have a normal life,'she turned and faced Domingo, put her hand on his face and went on, ' you'll be happier without me in your life. and even if i do become a wolf again that doesn't mean I'll be able to find you again. go find a new mate, one who will love you no madder what, one who loves the pups too.'

'i already have.' Domingo said staring into Blitz eyes. Blitz started to tear up again and she hugged Domingo and faced the searing wheel.

she then said, 'I'm so sorry Domingo, you will always be my one and only love, tell the pack you didn't find me, and go one living a normal wolf life.' she pulled out a dart gun and aimed it at Domingo and said, 'don't worry my love, this will only put you to sleep so i can bring you back to the pack. and never forget i will always love you.'-BANG!

                                    *DOMINGO BLACKS OUT*

'hey Alue, look over here its Domingo!' Jakita shouts.

Alue runs over to her son and nuzzles him to wake up. Domingo opens his eyes and looks at his mother, 'where am i?'

'your home.' Alue says, helping her son to his paws.

one of the pups runs up to him and says, 'daddy did ya find mamma?'

Domingo lies and says, 'no I'm sorry boys.'

'its OK daddy we'll find her soon enough.'

'i hope so.' Domingo said as his voice trailed off. they then trotted back to the den sight.

                                               *BACK TO BLITZ*

she whammed her foot on the gas petal and in seconds she was bursting with speed through the forest. she drove for miles, it seemed, and finally she reached the town of Nome. Blitz parked on the side of the street and jumped out of the car. she walked up to the first house and rang the door bell, some tall lady with red hair came to the door and said, 'hello.'

'hello, do you know of a man named Leo?'

'oh yes, the magic man,' she rolled her eyes and went on, 'yeah he lives down town, but I'm not really sure what house.'

'OK thank you.' Blitz said as she ran back to the jeep. she flung herself in and sped down the road, she drove down town and parked the car again. she went up to house after house looking for Leo. but he was no where to be seen. she was on her last day and it was almost sun down. she knocked on the door of an old run-down apartment and a short man walked to the door and said, 'what ya want kid?'

'do you know of a Leo in the town sir?'

'yeah, whats it to ya?'

'well i heard he was a magic man and i really need his help with something. do you now him?'

the man nods and tells Blitz to come in. he then says when the reach the basement filled with glass containers and smoke every where, 'I'm Leo young lass, what do ya need?'

'well I'm not really sure you'll believe me, but, i was once a human child but got turned into a wolf and now i got turned back into a human. i wish to stay a wolf forever but i only have a few hours till i will be stuck as a human for the rest of my life.'

'don't worry,' Leo said giggling, 'I've had weirder customers than that before, come on hop up here and I'll turn ya back into a wolf. but I'm guessing' since you've been a wolf all your life ya have no money to pay me?'

Blitz nodded and said, 'I'm very sorry, I'll pay ya back when i figure out how to find money.'

'no need, this one is free.'

'yay, thank you so much.'

'no problem.' Leo said as he went into a back room carrying some medicine. he then said, 'OK ma'am drink this, it'll put you to sleep so you wont feel any pain when you turn back into a wolf, but you wont be the same looking wolf as before, your coat will be different, but I'm sure that wont madder much, right?'

'no thats OK.' Blitz said as she drank the medicine and fell fast asleep.

                                           *HOURS LATER*

'ma'am? you awake yet?' Leo asked

Blitz opened her eyes and sat up. she then said, 'thank you so much! I'm a wolf again, yay!'

'I'm sorry ma'am but i cant understand ya, it just sounds like your barking. but I'll take that as a thank you. come on I'll show you the way out, but first.....' Leo held up a mirror and let Blitz look at herself, she no longer had a pure white coat, it had some black on the top and on her paws. she also had black markings on her nose and ears, but other than that she was still the same Blitz. Blitz barked happily and wagged her tail. she jumped off the table and followed the man outside to the street. she stopped in front of the jeep and looked at it then at Leo. she barked and Leo's face lit up with joy, 'really ma'am is that for me? thank you so much, but you didn't have to do that.'

Blitz barked again and smiled. the man said, 'oh thank you so much. goodbye now ma'am. enjoy your wolf life.'

Blitz smiled at the man and darted into the woods she thought to herself, yes! i did it! i am finally a wolf! I'm so happy. i cant wait to see my family again!

                                                         *YEARS LATER AND SHE IS STILL LOOKING FOR HER FAMILY*

Blitz has never gave up hope of finding her family. Nome is very far away from the den so of course it would've taken her a long time but she kept moving and never gave up. she pictured her beloved mate and pups in her head when ever anything got bad and they helped her through it.

she dashed into the forest and followed her old sent to the den. she was almost there when she heard something closing in on her, it was a bear! the bear stood on two legs and let out a mighty roar. Blitz's ears went back and she snarled at it. she lunged but the bear was quick and sung his claws at her. she fell to the ground and yelped in pain and thought to herself as the bear lost interest and walked away from Blitz unconscious body, when i finally became a wolf again, when my life was getting better, when i would soon be together with my mate and pups again, and this happens!

                                               *BLACK OUT*

'Jakita look over here. its a wolf, i think she passed out or something. but it looks like there was a fight here maybe by a bear.' a wolf from the pack said.

'coming.' Jakita said as he trotted over to the wolf on the ground.

they sniffed the wolf to make sure it wasn't dead, she was still alive. Jakita then said, 'poor thing, lets bring her back to the den till she is well again.'

'OK.' another wolf from the pack said as her picked up Blitz and put her on his walk, then they all started walking back, the five miles back to the den. they were on a hunting trip and happened to stumble across her.

meanwhile, back at the den, Domingo sat with his new girl friend and the pups running around in the den. the wolves trotted up to the den and dropped Blitz down. then Domingo said, 'who is she?'

'we don't know Domingo, she doesn't look like anyone we've seen before.'

'OK, but whats wrong with her is she sick or something?'

'we think she was attacking a bear and got knocked out.'

'oh. is she joining the pack?'

'if she wants to when she wakes up.'

'OK.'

then the healer from the pack walked up to then and said, 'I'll heal her.'

'OK, go ahead.' the alpha said

the healer wolf walked up to her with long leafs in his mouth, he put it around Blitz's wounds and walked away.

                                                 *DAYS LATER*

Blitz opened her eyes and looked around, there was no one there, and she thought to herself, where am i? what happened to me?

she stood up but quickly fell back down, but she didn't give up she stood back up and walked over to the edge of the den. she looked around, still no one. so she trotted away to go look for some for, for it seems she hasn't eaten in days. she walked to an elk heard, there were other wolves there but she didn't care, she was too hungry to care about that now. she spotted her prey and went for it. and within seconds she made the kill. she ate happily in till the wolves walked over to her and then the alpha of the pack said, 'i see you have woken up, how are you feeling?'

'good.'

'i am Jakita, this is my mate Tala, this is Thunder and his mate Sasha, and Bella and her mate Edward, Alue and her son Domingo, and Domingo's girl friend Mackenzie.'

then Jakita said, 'would you like to join the pack?'

'yes please.'

'OK then lets go back to the den now that we all have eat our fill.'

they trotted off to the den, the pack still not knowing that the wolf was Blitz. but in time she would soon remember everything again.

when the reached the den the pups were play fighting but the stopped and asked their dad, 'daddy did ya find mamma yet?'

'not yet boys.'

'aww.'

the pack sat inside the den and went to sleep.

                                        *A FEW DAYS LATER*

when Blitz woke up today, a rush a memory flowed back to her, she remembered everything now. she walked out of the woods from the hunting trip and saw Domingo playing with the pups. she was about to walk up to her when Mackenzie came up from behind her and pushed her away. she said to Blitz, 'listen here, Domingo is mine so stay away from him, got it?!?'

Blitz said, 'but he's my-'

Mackenzie interrupted her and said, 'i don't care. stay away from him!'

Blitz walked away, she walked up to the grassy cliff only her pups and mate knew about. she started humming their song and hoped that in time Domingo would soon remember her.

she heard a yawn and perked her ears up but didn't look away from the meadows under the cliff. she than said, 'hello Domingo.'

'oh hi, i didn't know you knew about this cliff.'

'sorry do you want me to leave?'

'no its OK. so what was that you were humming?'

'oh you heard that?'

'yeah its a beautiful song, 'Fireflys' right?'

'yeah. i love that song'

'so did you start to remember anything yet?'

'yes, i remember everything now.'

'cool, whats your name?'

Blitz turned and faced Domingo and said, 'Blitz.'

Domingo was amazed, he knew of no other wolf named Blitz on this side of the woods. but before Domingo could respond Mackenzie jumped out from behind the trees and pushed Blitz down the cliffs. Blitz yelped in pain as she fell to the bottom of the cliffs.

Domingo faced Mackenzie and yelled, 'WHY DID YOU DO THAT!?!?!'

'because she was going to take you away from me.'

'well she is my mate! *snarl*'

'calm down hon, we don't know if she's even your mate at all.'

'she is because she knows about this cliff, i only showed the pups and my mate and you, she knows my mate and my song and her name is Blitz. now what does that show you?!?'

Domingo didn't even leave Mackenzie time to answer his question as he bolted off, he ran around the cliffs to the hunting grounds where Blitz had fallen.

Mackenzie, knowing that she and Domingo were through dashed far away from this pack, never to return.

Domingo looked every where on the meadow to find Blitz. then there she was, she was in pain and Domingo knew it. he ran over to her, she was oozing out blood and she wasn't breathing. Domingo had to act fast to save her. he bolted back to the pack. then he said, 'mom, its Blitz! she's hurt!'

the hole pack ran out to them and stared at Blitz then Alue said, 'thats not-'

but Domingo interupted her and said, 'I'll explain later just help her please!'

the healer ran up to Blitz and after he looked at her he shook his head, and Domingo questioned, 'is she going to be alright?'

'the odds arent too good.' the healer said

'there has to be a way, she cant die.'

'I'm sorry, I've done all i can, but she may still have a chance. if all her bones heal correctly she may live, but in her state if even one bone heals the wrong way it could mean death for her.'

Domingo started to cry, he hid his face in Blitz fur and said, 'and just when i found her.'

Alue put her paw on his shoulders and said, 'its going to be OK son.'

'how do you know that mom?' Domingo said in a sarcastic tone

Alue didn't respond.

then Domingo perked his ears up and looked up at the sky, lightning thrashed across the sky and the rain pierced into their fur. Domingo let out a depressed howl. and the rest of the pack joined in. Domingo wept and lie down next to Blitz ice-cold body. he couldn't give up on her, never in a million years. he loved her too much to just give up like that. and Domingo knew Blitz loved him the same way too.

then the packs healer came up to Domingo and said, 'Domingo, she will freeze out here, but we cant move her in the den, we don't want to exadently make her bone heal the wrong way. but, if she survives the night she defiantly has the will to live, so she then has a better chance of living. I'm not making any promises. keep her warm Domingo, don't let her tempurtare drop even by one degree or she'll get worce than she already is now. OK? good luck my friend.'

'thank you.'

'no problem.'

then the healer trotted back around the cliffs and up to the den just like the rest of then but before he left he said, 'i'll be back in the morning to make sure she's fining alright, OK.'

'OK.'

then he walked away. Domingo held his head over Blitz to block the rain away from her. he wispered into her ear, 'dont worry Blitz i'll never give up on you, i know you can make it.'

the rain didnt stop. all through the night. lightning flashed over the meadow and spooked all the elk heards away. Blitz was stil breathing but at a slower rate. it felt like night would last forever. but just then the healer ran up to then carrying a small bag he held in his mouth. he said, 'Domingo i have great news, i have found the cure to save her.'

'really thats wonderful!'

'OK all we have to do is make her eat this and she should be well again in a few days.'

Domingo lied down next to her again, holdind the medicien in his paw. he nudged Blitz mouth open and slid the cure down. when Blitz drank all the medicien Domingo nuzzled her and thanked the healer. the wolf then said, 'you can bring her to the den if you want since the medicien will make her bones strong enough to endore the journey.'

'OK.' Domingo replied as he pulled Blitz gently onto his back and trotted back to the den.

when they got to the den the pack was still sleeping because they all stayed up late last night. Domingo trotted in and slid Blitz off his back and into the den. the pups ran up to Domingo and said, 'is that mamma?'

Domingo replied with a smile, 'yes.'

                                                    *DAYS LATER*

'look she's waking up!' Domingo said as he stood up and got the rest of the pack to come see.

they all ran in to her and helped her stand up. Domingo asked, 'how are you feeling Blitz?'

'i'm feeling great.'

'thats good.'

then Domingo, Blitz and the pups trotted to their cliff. then the howled all through the night, together.
