part 1.

I sat quietly at the window.

 It was early winter, and snow fell.

I stared out into the distance. My attention went to the mountains that were blured by snow.

My mind wondered off for a momment. I was lost in my thoughts.

My thoughts were interupted by a voice.

"Sandy,me and everyone are going out, wanna come?"

I turned around to see Brookland, one of two other dogs that lived here. Brookland was a blondish color with brown outline and blue eyes. She was crazy for the attention of males and was quite a trouble maker, unlike me.

"Umm, not right now." I replied.

"why would I want to go? Usualy Brookland gets all the attention and I always have to sit there watching the males talk to her. And to make things worse, im a hybrid. So im always put down. I wish i could find a mate that would be loyal to me." I thought.

"Okay then, bye." Brookland called.

I went back to my thoughts.

"How could it all end like this?"

My thoughts were now focused on my formed mate, Avin. He was a blondish wolf-dog mix. He had soulful blue eyes that i will never forrget. His voice brightend my day.

I had loved him so much, and he loved me back. Until one day. He left me for a purebred husky. He was that kind of dog, only cared about himself, and I was to lovestruck to see that.

I tryed to think about my puppyhood for a moment.My puppyhood had always been a blur.All i knew was my mother was a dark brown and cream wolf with hazel eyes. My father was  husky/collie with green eyes.

I stared out the window again. Thinking the same thing over and over again......"How could it end this way?"

 -----------------------3 years back-----------------------

I lead a pack of wolves throught the mountains. It was early spring, but up in the mountains, the only time it dident snow was in the summer.

No one spoke. It was quiet. Until we got to a cliff.

There was a small grounp of trees that created a kind of shelter near by.

"Now we will rest." I said.

I am a brown and cream wolf/collie/husky mix. I go by the name sandy. My eyes are green. Before I lead this pack, I lived with a human, and i still had the collor to prove it. Thats were I got the name Sandy.

"Sandy......"

A black and white male wolf said calmly.

"We can smell humans near by..."

The black and white wolfs name was Nelson. He was The alpha male. He had dark brown eyes and a voice that could calm you instantly.

"Are you sure you smell humans?" I asked.

"Positive. Come smell for yourself." Nelson said.

Nelson lead me to a place behind the group of trees, and sure enough, it was the sent of not only a human, but dogs to.

"Move out. Im not risking anything." I said.

I lead the pack for many miles.

Suddenly, I heard something in the bushes.

Before I could react, 4 humans jumped from the bushes. I was hit with something, I blacked out.

I heard the snarls and howls before I blacked out.

The next thing I knew, I was being carried to a building. The humans thought I was asleep. They never saw it coming. I bit them, clawed them, and after a good fight, I left them bloody.

I was in a town know. I must have been miles away from the mountains. I paniced and ran. I was so comffused.

Suddenly, a human cought me in a net.

"What are you doing out here?" The man said.

"Well, I guesse its the pound for you." He said.

The man put me in the back of his pound truck, closed the door, and set off.

"How could this happen?? I dont want to go to the pound! I have to get back to my pack!! Stupid human....." I thought.

We came to a building with high metal fenceing all around it.

The man came and tied a cloth over my eyes. I was to terrified to react. He took the cloth off as soon as I was in a kennel.

Then, he noticed my collor. He read the silver tag.

"Sandy, eh...." He said.

"Well Sandy, we'll see if we can get you a home..." He said.
