Aleu's assasin and secret part 3

Two weeks after Aleu came back to Nome and showed up on Balto's boat, she had traveled through the town and nobody, not even her own mother wanted anything to do with her. But now, all the attention was on her, for the time being. Last week, Aleu was talking about how cold it is in Russia in the winter time, and that she likes it better here. But today, Aleu was feeling funky. She wasn't for sure what was wrong with her, only that she most likely she lost her place as pack leader in her clan, because the rules say "That if a leader does not return in four days, she loses her/his spot as pack leader." Aleu has been gone for 16 days now. She has lost her place as pack leader just so she can spend time with her family. Balto noticed that she was looking strange.

"Aleu what's wrong?"

"Nothing. Except perhaps that I have lost my place as pack leader." Aleu started to cry.

"Its okay Aleu. All you have to do is fight to get your place back and then your leader again."

"Father, its not like that at all. I can't fight for two reasons. 1. I have lost my place, which means in a wolf pack that I cannot ever return to their grounds, and 2. I am unable to fight in my condition."

"Aleu what do you mean condition? You look just fine to me."

"Father, I'm pregnaut. That is why I cannot fight. When I found out three weeks ago, before I came here, I wanted to be home to have them. Not in the wild, but in Nome were my family is. And when I finally got across the ice, I realized that we had taken the wrong turn. We were in the woods some miles away and I believe that I went the same route that you had taken in 1925. When I had finally reached Nome, I saw this fat dog eating Jerky, so I asked where do you live."

"Aleu, you know where I live."

"Well, I didn't know if you had moved in with mom like you had talked about 4 days before I had ran away. Anyways, that dog was scared of me, because she realized that I was a wolf. Then I found mom. She acted as if she didn't want me here, so I went to the boat, here, and talked to Boris which I scared him. He then realized that it was me, and he had me hide until he gave me the signal and then you know the rest."

"So, thats what all happened two weeks ago. Aleu, who is the father?"

"His name is Angel. He is another wolf/dog also."

"So why didn't he come with you?"

"Dad, he is the one who took my place. He is the Alpha male, and takes control if I lose my spot. So, he is with the pack."

"Aleu I'm so sorry for you. You have been through more trouble's than I have lead Jenna and I to believe."

"Don't be sorry, It was my choice to live with a wolf pack, not yours."

"How many weeks are you?"

"5 right now."

5 weeks pass by and Aleu is now 10 weeks pregnaut. Aleu is now gaining weight so, everyone in Nome knows that Balto and Jenna are going to be grandparents. Aleu might get an unexpected visitor. Aleu is living with Jenna until her pups are born.

"Aleu! You have a visitor. Do you want to come down or should I have him go up there to you?"

"I'm coming down."

Aleu had problems getting down the stairs. She has a big bubble in her way now.

"Who is the guy?"

"I don't know who he is, but he looks a little like Balto but instead of brown eyes, he has blue eyes. He looks a little bit like you."

"Angel."Aleu sighed. He could lose his place too. Aleu went outside.

"Aleu! I'm so glad your alright! The clan was so worried about you. Kashima, told me to go look for you. The clan doesn't care about the rule, they want you back as Alpha female. I won't mate with anyother wolf. Aleu, I want you to come back."

He must not yet know that I'm pregnaut with his pups! "Angel, I would but I uh..?"

"Are you alright Aleu?"

Just as Aleu was about to answer Balto came walking up to check on Aleu.

"How are you today Aleu?"

Angel looked at Balto and turned back to Aleu. His face was twisted with anger, sadness and confusion.

"Who is this Aleu!"

"Angel this is not what it seems."

"This is Angel, Aleu. He seems alright. I like him, he's protective of you, but he is a nice wolf/dog."

"Angel this is my father."

"Oh. So why don't you want to come back to the clan?"

I don't know how to tell him. He told me a month ago before I came to Nome, that he doesn't want pups. Now I'm going to have his pups! Oh No! "Angel, I am pregnaut. I don't care if you don't want pups but I going to have them no matter what you say!"

"Aleu your pregnaut? Thats why you don't want to return to the pack, and give us more wolves? I am disapointed with you Aleu! I would have been glad to have pups, but now I'm angery! When your not pregnaut anymore, I'm going to kill you! Just so I can tell the clan and if they ask me this, how many weeks are you?"

"10 weeks. But you won't see me until they can be adopted. Thats if you ever see me again."

"10 weeks. Alright I will see you in 20 days just to make sure that you are still pregnaut and is still here. Farewell Aleu daughter of Balto and Jenna and my mate."

Angel strode off. Then Aleu thought Why did I tell him how many weeks I am? Oh I know, so I can live.

"Aleu why does Angel want to kill you? When your carrying his pups? I never got that angery with Jenna."

"Dad this is different. He is more wolf like me. I just hope I can live through this. He is strong."

20 days later, Angel showed up just as he said.

"Aleu you have gotten bigger. I brought Spike here to keep an eye on you while I'm not here. Just to make sure you don't run away. He is ordered to do anything he wants to you if you run away."

"What if he mistakes me for doing excercise? I do that every now and then."

"Than when I come back in 10 days, you can tell me."

"Fine, but he won't be with me when I give birth, because that will be in 15 days. Good bye Angel until 10 days from now."

When the 10 days finally had come Aleu was feeling terrible. She forgot to tell Spike she was going to try to run around town. When she stopped to take a breath in the alley Spike showed up with Angel. Angel didn't look to happy. Then Aleu remembered that she was supposed to tell Spike where she was going. Oops!

"Aleu what are you doing out here without Spike?"

"Angel I forgot to tell Spike that I was going to try to run around the town, because I wasn't feeling to well. Thats why I was out here all alone."

"Well you do only have 5 days left, so I guess its okay."

"Thank you for understanding Angel."

Then Angel walked over to Aleu. Aleu tensed. Angel was sniffing her swollen belly, now heavy with puppies. Then he started to lick her belly.

"Angel what are you doing?"

As if out of a trance, Angel stopped. He said something to Spike and then left. Spike smiled.

"Alright Aleu we are going to finish this walk then return home."

"Fine Spike." Aleu wanted to run, or jog in her condition. Spike who thought that she was trying to outrun him so she can runaway, caught up to her and grabbed her by the neck and threw her down and growled. "How dare you try to run from me!" Aleu was not moving except for her spasms. Aleu was having her pups!
