It was a sunny morning in Alaska, few clouds littered the sky, and for once in a long time, it wasn't snowing. Rylee ran large circles around a flock of sheep, keeping them tightly together, and nipping at the hels of those who refused to obey orders. Mr. Parker, her owner let out a whistle, calling her to him. The brown husky mix obeyed a nd sprinted over, he knelt down and rubbed behind her ears. "I've got to go handle some things back at the barn, you'll watch those sheep for me won't you?" he asked. Rylee let out a happy bark "that's my girl, I'll be back for you in a bit." As the man left, she turned back to the flock, who were staring at her. "Ok guys, you can go ahead and graze, he probabaly won't be back until around dusk."

Rylee sat atop a hill, keeping her eyes and ears strained, listening and watching for any kind of trouble.A rather chilly breeze nipped through her, she was thankful to be wearing her bandana, but the breeze didn't just bring a chill, she caught  a sharp musky scent. She let out a low growl, and looked around, she had to squint to see the treeline of the woods, but she saw him, a male black and white wolf, stalking up to the flock. "Not on my watch" she said darkly and sprinted in the wolf's direction.

As soon as she was close enough she growled "what are you doing here wolf?" The male looked over to her at first with suprise, but that quickly vanished as he flashed her a sickly sweet smile and strode over to her. "Well, well, well, what apretty thing I've stumbled on" he said walking a tight circle around her, his tail trailing against her in a sedutctive fashion. Rylee felt strange, nothing had affected her quite like he was right then. He had an almost musical voice, but not like the kind radios played, it was more elemental, and very aluring. She wanted to run she felt almost sick, with him pressed so close to her, she tried to shove past it.

"Who are you, and what are youu doing here?" she demanded wheeling around and coming nose- to- nose with the attractive male, she looked deep into his indigo eyes, she could just about drown in them. "I'm Sin" he said simply not answering the second part of her question. A whistle split through the air, Rylee's ears perked up, much to Sin's amusement. "Get out of here Sin, and don't come back" she said and walked away from him, she heard his aluring voice behind her as she left. "Leave pretty thing like you? Darling I couldn't if I tried." She blushed furiously and ran to her owner.

When they got back from the field, Rylee ran straight to her friends. "Hello Rylee, have a good day?" an old male rough coat collie asked "yes Shep" she answered laying down next to him. "Sheep behave ok for ya?" Mazey, a female german shepard asked. "Well enough, you know how they are."

"Of course we do!"

Rylee looked up the scarlet and ivory male border collie. "Hey Cooper" she said nonchalauntly. "Are you sure your ok Ryls? Tou seem...I don't know a little off or something" Mazey said. "Yes Mazey I promise I'm fine, just a little tired, I think I'm going to turn in g'night."

Rylee slept peacefully up in the hayloft, she prefered it better than the old metal doghouse outside, and it was warmer in the winter. A old red blanket was rested over her, for better warmth and the steady rise and fall of her breathing said she was having peaceful dreams. A dark figure crept into the loft with her, his paws careful not to squeak the floorboards. However, his musky scent filled her nose and she stirred, he thought about running, but didn't instead his elemental voice shattered the silence of the night like a rock flying through a stain glass window. "Hey" Rylee flinched and jerked her head around to look at him. "What are you doing here?" she whispered loudly "seeing you, of course" he said coming out of the shadows to let the moonlight wash over his dark fur. "Why?" she demanded trying not to be distracted. "Why not?" he asked answering her question with a question. She sighed and rolled her eyes, and looked out the loft window. "Go home Sin" she said shortly, never peeling her eyes from the window. "Actually, I'm starting to feel very at home, right where I am" she felt his warm breath on her cheek and shivered.

That same feeling from earlier crept into her system, but this time she lunged at him, she pinned him easily "Why are you doing this to me?" she asked almost desperately. He chuckled "don't worry about it, and don't figt it, just don't fight it" he whispered back. Rylee for once couldn't think of anything to say, but suddenly found herself pinned by Sin, instead of the other way around. "Now, I believe we're missing one more thing in this relationship of ours." She looked at him quizically and tried to get out of his grasp, she sighed defeated after a moment. "What?" He leaned down and whispered in her ear. What's your name?"  Rylee gulped, she'd never had a male this close to her before. "Rylee" she answered simply. "Beautiful" Sin looked over to the window and saw the sun was coming up. "I shall see you tomorrow night Rylee" he said, nuzzling her gently and he jumped out the loft window. Rylee gasped and ran to the window and looked down. Sin was fine, already walking away, he looked behind him and smiled devilishly up at her, before sprinting off to the woods.

The next day was business as usual, but Rylee's thoughts kept drifting back to Sin, he made her nervous, but he was like a drug, she didn't want him to go away. She didn't tell her friends about him though, he was a wolf and she was a dog, it wouldn't seem right in their eyes. Rylee sat atop her hill watching the flock, it was eerily quiet, the sheep weren't saying much, and not even the wind was blowing, she sighed boredly and eased herself into a laying position. Feeling almost relieved when Mr. Parker and Cooper walked up. She jogged over to them, Cooper smiling like an idiot the whole time. "Hey Coop" she said casually "hey, I'm taking your place, you've got the rest of the day off"

"Cool"

Rylee wasn't in any particular hurry to get back to the house as she loped through the open turf between home and the sheep pen. A creeping feeling came over, and she felt like she was being stalked, she scanned the woods on either side of her, but saw nothing. "Rylee" a musical voice crooned "come here Rylee." She froze and searched the wood again. A shadowy figure stood near the trees, but she couldn't tell who it was. "Rylee" he crooned again, the temptation was just to great she walked over to the trees. And there he was in all his dark beauty "Sin" she said. "Hello Rylee" he said and nuzzled her "How come your not with the sheep?" he asked "Cooper took my place for the day" this seemed to intrest him. "Really?"

"Yeah"

"Good then you can come with me."

Rylee cocked her head "follow you where?"  He chuckled "c'mon" he said and grabbed her bandana and pulled her along. Rylee didn't like the woods they scared her, but she allowed him to lead her deeper in, she knew he would protect her. After a while he let go of her bandana he knew she wouldn't leave, and besides that, it was leaving a bad tasre in his mouth.

Sin lead her to a cliff with a beautiful veiw of the sun and the mountians, one look and Rylee was mesmerised. "wow" she said "Sin this is the most beatiful thing I've ever seen." Sin smiled lovingly as he gazed at her "yeah, beautiful" he said softly. Rylee turned and saw him staring at her as he said that, she blushed, he edged his muzzle closer to hers, she did the same and they touched noses. Rylee pushed herself closer and nuzzled into his chest, he rested his head on top of hers and curled his tail around her. He heard her sigh contently "I love you Sin" she whispered. "I love you to Rylee" he whispered back.

So it went on like this for a long time, both were deeply in love, but one harbored a secret, a secret that has come at the worst possible time.

Rylee's green-blue eyes were barely holding back the tears "y-your l-leaving" she whimpered "yes" Sin said and pulled his love close to him "but don't forget me angel, ok, I know it hurts, I know, but this can't be avoided. Rylee sobbed into his chest "but you said you'd never leave, you wanted to stay with me, you-y-you..." she wasn't able to finish her sentence, she was choking on sobs. "I know what I said, I should've thought more clearly about my decisions, I'm so sorry" he whispered he gave her one last loving nuzzle and turned and left. "Sin" she whimpered, he turned "I'll never stop loving you."

"Nor I you Rylee."

Sin took off through the woods leaving a heartbroken Rylee behind to grieve, but he didn't lie, and neither did she, they'd never stop loving eachother, no matter how great his betrayl was.
