A fall breeze brushed through the trees of Nome. At the edge of town A wolf is runing from a team of big sled dogs. The dogs were gaining ofn the wolf untill he quickly turned behind a alley.
The dogs kept going. The wolf sighed. " I gotta find a place to hide!" The wolf said to himself. He started to walk away in search of shelter.
A few dogs were walking home from a party at the edge of town."Bye Mina!" one of the dogs said as they both went different ways. The one that was called Mina waved to her friends then went to her home.
She sighed "I can't beleive that I let them talk me into going to that stupid party! I'll just stay home next time." she said.Her way was blocked by the biggest sled dogs in Nome.
"We can make our own party Mina! Just you and me!"the dog in the middle said as he slobbered all over the ground."Ugh! I'll pass Granite!" Mina said to him.
Granite was the meanest dog in town and the local bully. He had brown and white fur and a little gray on his chest which gave him his name. If he wasn't a sled dog and rich no one would ever be his friend!
"Oh! playing hard to get huh!? I like that.." He said as he placed his paw on her.She swipe the paw away. "Go away Granite! I'm not interested in anything your planing." She said.
"No one says no to me!!" he snarled as he and the other dogs came closer. Before Mina could blink the dogs jumped at her! She growled but knew she was out numbered.
Then a flash came and knocked all them to the ground. Then a huge wolf came in front of Mina."Now that's not nice outnumbering a lady. You should just accept the fact that she doesn't like you!" the wolf laughed as the dogs groaned in pain.
"You won't lucky next time freak! I'll get you Mina!"Granite said as he limped away.
The wolf turned to her. "Don't worry if he comes back I'll protect you." he said in a calming voice. She stared at the wolf."I don't need protection! I was fine before you got here!" Mina.
"Yeah right! Your welcome! I just leave then." then the wolf began to run but fell.
Mina ran to him."He's hurt pretty bad! He can stay in the back. No one can see him there!" She said as she dragged the out cold wolf to the back of her house.
She started to lick his wounds. As she was about to finish she couldn't help but stare at his features."He's kind of handsome.." She blushed as she shook her head."Oh snap out of it!" she said to herself.
Then the wolf started to shiver. She gulped. "Well he did save me.." she thought as she layed next to him. He stopped after a while then his breathing was more relaxed than before.
"Who is he...?" she said silently as she drifted to sleep.
In the crack of dawn the wolf woke up. He looked around then looked down to his wounds."Who did this?"he thought. then he heard someone breathing next to him. It was the female who he saved last night!
"She helped me. No one ever did that for me before! but that's because she doesn't who I am..." he said sadly.
He looked at the female again."I can't stay I'll only cause her problems." he said as he got up and started to walk away.
Mina woke up."Hey! were did he go?" but before she knew it her master called. "Mina! I was soo worried about you! I thought a wolf got you."she said as she hugged Mina"One did!" Mina thought. "You must be starving! let's get some breakfast huh?" she said as Mina wagged her tail.
After they both ate Mina's owner Terri took Mina to the councel room. She unleashed Mina so she could stay in the boiler room with the rest of the dogs. Mina found her friends Sora and Mya and went to them.
"Hey Mina did you hear?" Mya asked her."Hear about what Mya?"asked Mina. "About a wolf spotted in town! They say he's dangerous!!" said Sora. "The humans are talking now about how to deal with him!" said Mya.
"They say he killed dogs and wolves just for the fun of it .He's a cold blooded murderer! They call him the 'raven' since he brings death with him." said Sora. "He doesn't fit that at all! He was kind of nice." Mina thought.
"Hey! Didn't you hear me?!" shouted Mya.Mina forgot that if she didn't respone to her she thinks that she's ignoring her which is most of the time for her gossip trends.
Mina said "Yea! I heard!" "Well I think they need to kill the wild thing! It could hurt someone!!" said Sora. THen the dogs around them got silent as Granite walked in with the rest of the team entered the boiler room. His gaze automaticly went to Mina. He pushed through the crowd to get to her.
"Uh..I gotta go guys I'll see you later!" she said as she tried to go around Granite she found the two goons who were with Granite blocked the exit. "You're gonna pay for what you did last night! Thanks to you and that wolf I can't race for aa month!!" Granite yelled across the room.
All eyes went to Mina."You saw the wolf?! did he hurt you!?" asked Sora. "How did you meet him without gettting hurt?" asked Mya.
Mina couldn't take all those questions so she jumped over the goons head and started to run out of the room.She went to a back alley but Granite cornered her."You'll pay from destroying my future!" He pinned her down. She bit and scartched but it was no use.
He chuckled as he raised his paw. "Oh no you don't!" a voice came from behind. Granite said"Not the face!" but the wolf knocked him off.
"You okay?" the wolf asked. "Who are you what's your name?"she asked but humans came to see what happned and he was gone before he could anwser her.
"Granite!! Who did this to you!?" His owner said picking him up."That wolf will be shot and killed on sight!" one human said.
"Oh No!" said Mina.
That night Mina was in her bed thinking about that wolf and what might happen to him. then she heard the doggy door move."Who's there!?" she growled.
"Calm down I won't hurt you. Oh! And to anwser your question My name is Zephyr! (Ze-Fur)(ˈze-fər)" said the wolf. "Mine's Mina!Why are you here?"she asked. "I wanted to see you again." he said.
"Mina?! Who's down there?! "It was Teri. "You have to go now!" she said."She'll kill you if she sees you!"
"Why should you care?" he asked. She pushed him out of the doggy door. "Because you saved me! You didn't have to but you did!" she said as she was about to close the little door.
He turned and walked away. She was about to do the same but she thought. "I guess it couldn't hurt." she ran to Zehpyr and kissed him on the cheek.
His eyes widen."Be careful!" she said as she went back inside. He stood dazed for a moment then shook it of the left for a place to sleep.
When he was about to give up he found a abandon ship on a beach. "This will do I guess." he said as he climb the ship and curled into a corner. He rubbed his cheek."Could she be ..? No!she'll run from me like everyone else in my life!" he said then went to sleep.
