I was in the front of the team running like the wind.All of a sudden I saw a moose and stoped quickly.Anna scearmed "Were all going to die!" After my owner clamed all my team mates down the moose was gone. I trotted down the path to my home town Anchorage.The minute I steped into town the human pups were all over me.I am top dog on my team of all girls but, I am the only male.

The next weekend I was woken up by a loud thump of my owner closing the door. "Hey Devin,this is Daisy." My owner was holding the collar of a red,white and black female. "Hello, Devin right." Daisy spoke sharply. "Hello,and yeah."I was so scared she was so bueatiful her fur so red and pure but so dirty.I knew we should be together.

One night three mounths later my owner harnessed everyone in unusal way, he tightened it harder.I was still stuck on Daisy and she was hot. "Devin hope the harness doesn't hurt." Anna said trying to flirt.I wasn't looking for anyone but Daisy. "Let's get going i need my work outs." Daisy said in her sassy tone. "That self-centered jerk,won't shut up!" Kristen snorted. "Okay team heres the plan today were racing in the Iditarod and we're going to kick everyones ..." My owner trailed off.a man caklled us up. The man blew a horn and we took off on the Iditarod trail.

We were ten days in the race my owner just packed up our items from the last check point.My owner was really happy we were in first place and won $2,000 for getting to Iditarod first.I really happy too,Daisy stopped flirting with other dogs and started with me. "Hey Daisy What to hang together after we win?" I asked hopefully. "No" Daisy said looking shocked at me.My team had just left when we came to a moose. My owner tried scare it away but thge moose charded at us. His horns coming starit at me I swerved and my team follwed.My owner couldn't make it quick enough and was hit by the moose and so was Anna.my team had a 4 hour lead which became only a 1 hour lead after me and the rest of my team get my owner and Anna in a safe place on the seld.But, at that moment We were about to leave I reised my owner was dead.

 I was terrified at what I had to do,I had to lead my team to the end of the race without a musher. "You can do it Devin,I belive in you." And to my suprize Daisy was the to speak.My heart ached,my throat dried up,my mind stoped thinking,she really said somthing encourging to me. "L..lets get going." I spoke loud and clear.My team was running about 30 miles per hour.After about 10 to 20 minutes we came to a crack in in the ice.I leaped and got across and so did my team but the seld didn't make it.My team pulled harder and harder then the girls slipped and fell into the grasp of the water.I pulled and pulled.Finally I got everyone out but,all the girls couldn't bare their own weight so they were placed with Anna and my dead master.I had to pull the sled myself.

I was a third way their when an other team passed me.I rushed in front quickly not just to win but to save my team.Two hours later I saw Nome and everyone cheering and I spead up. "It's over,it's over." I thought. When I ran thourgh town everyone cheered but when they saw my dead master they stoped. "Dan,are you there?" My masters wife asked.Then she had relised he was dead.His little daughter scearmed "DADDY!!".Everyone was in tears.

I got some treats for my good work.Everyone was amazed at me.When My owners family got the prize money they began to cry.Then later when we came home they gave me a blue blacket,a gold colred chew toy and best of all they opened the door and there was Daisy.But,the next moment the family tuked the items they gave me around my collar and let me go with Daisy.

That night Daisy canme over "Hey,is that offer still open,you knoew the one were we hang together." She asked. "Sure,Yeah" I said.We walked down the steert of Nome and found the boiler room and hung out together alone.

1 mounth later...

Me and Daisy walked down the Nome street.My masters family decided to move in a mamorial to my owner.We walked to the boat were Balto had lived once and thats were we decided to live now.I walked over to the beach and stared at the sun setting over the water with Daisy behind me."Beautiful isn't it" she said. "And to think we were almost not going to live to see this." I said.We started to walk back to the boat.When I arrived on the boat Daisy layed down.I griped a blue blacket and placed it on her.Dasiy needed rest for soon she would have pups.I chewed on my gold colored chew town and thought of my masters family. "Dasiy I'll be back soon don't go any were." I said.Dasiy just siad okay.I left and walked to the house.The family saw me and was over joyed,they new about the pups coming.They let me in and gave me a bag of things.But, the bag was two heavy so the little girl carried it all the way to the boat.And said "Your going to be a great daddy just like mine ...was." She began to tear up and then she ran off.
