Addy sat on her porch, this town was completely new to her, seeing as they just moved in. She looked at the floor, she missed Anchorage, her friends were there, and it was so much warmer. She looked up, and a brown dog trodded up to the steps.
"Howdy stranger!" The dog called.
"Hi." Addy called back. The dog looked at her in utter astonishment, her hair was glistening in the sunlight as she walked out from under the deck cover.
"So, uh, welcome to Nome, name's Buck." Buck wasn't exactly a husky, more like a german shephard.
"Hi Buck, I'm Addy." She stuck her paw out to shake his hand. Buck took it and kissed it.
"It's a pleasure to meet you." Buck said. Addy chuckled.
"So are the other dogs of Nome like this?" Addy asked.
"Well, not all of em' but a good few of em are quite nice." Buck sounded like he was in a TV ad.
"Oh, that's good." Addy was a little puzzled by what a good few of em' meant.
"So, should I introduce you to some of the other dogs?" Buck asked.
"Sure, I'd like that." Addy said.
The two of them walked into the town, Buck was introducing her to everyone, and most of the guys were trying immpossibly hard not to stare at her. Her fur was still glistening in the sunlight.
"Hey Addy, I gotta bet back to my owner. You gonna be okay by yourself?" Buck asked.
"Yeah, I'll be fine." Addy said.
"Alright, see ya round. Oh, and remember one thing." Buck said
"What's that?" Addy asked.
"Stay away from the alleys, them's dangerous for anyone to be wanderin round in." Buck warned, and he trodded off.
He seems nice, the accent is a little weird though. She thought to herself. She came up on a dead end in the road, and an alley was to her right.
"Couldn't hurt." Addy muttered to herself. She slowly walked in, and it almost instantly felt colder. She continued to walk inward, it seemed to be getting darker, and darker. She began to feal uneasy, as though she was being watched.
"Wait, wait, no no no wait wait, aaahhh! A voice called from above. Addy looked up to find a black and white blur plow into her. Addy was dazed, she shook off the blob, which as her vision cleared turned into a dog.
"Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry, are you okay?" The dog asked.
"Yeah I'm fine, what happened?" Addy asked.
"Oh, uh, TJ!" The dog yelled to the roof. A heah popped out, it was a smaller dog, who covered his mouth and snickered at him.
"Oh uh, I mean, sorry JD." TJ called out.
"You're lucky I don't climb back up there and give you a beating!" JD yelled. TJ only laughed more. JD looked back at Addy. "Yeah. I'm very sorry, my little brother pushed me off the roof."
"Oh no, it's ok." Addy laughed.
"I haven't seen before, you new here?" JD asked.
"Yes, I am." Addy answered.
"JD, stop flirting!" TJ yelled down at him. JD began to blush.
"Uh, so, what's your name?" JD asked.
"Addy." She answered.
"That's a nice name, I'm JD." He pointed to himself, then he looked at the roof again. "And that ball of trouble up there is TJ, my little brother." TJ poked his head out.
"Hi! You're very pretty." TJ called out.
"Awww, thank you." Addy teased.
"Now TJ, come on down here, I ain't gonna beat ya." JD called to him.
"Okay!" TJ yelled as he jumped down from the roof. The snow flew up everywhere as TJ hit the ground.
"Just kiddin!" JD yelled as he grabbed TJ and gave him a nuggie.
"Ahhh, stop!" TJ yelled playfully. JD began to tickle him, and TJ couldn't stop from laughing. Addy began to laugh at them both. JD finally stopped, and all became quiet. They approached the end of the alley, and Buck cut them off.
"Oh no, you found em. I warned ya bout the alleys didn't I?" Buck asked.
"Yeah you did." Addy answered.
"Oh come on Buck, you know better." JD teased.
"Well I sure don't, so don't try to say I do." Buck attempted to tease back. The four dogs were about to continue walking when a shadow jumped out in front of them.
"Hey guys." The shadow spoke.
"Hey Eva." JD greeted. She stepped out of the shadows.
"Who's the newbie?" Eva asked.
"She's new in town." TJ blurted out.
"Oh." She looked at Addy. "So, what's your name?"
"Addy." Addy responded.
"Hi Addy. I'm Eva, the town, well, party kinda person. The... oh, the funlover." Eva rambled.
"Yeah. It's not like we hold anything against ya for it." Buck reassured.
"Thanks Buck." Eva chuckled.
"Anytime. Uh, we were giving Addy here a tour of the town. Care to join?" Buck asked.
"Oh really? Well, unfortunately, I have a party to attend inside, so I'll talk to you guys later. Bye." Eva called as she trodded back inside the building.
"Bye Eva!" Buck called.
"She's seems quite nice." Addy said.
"Yeah, she's the kinda person that the outsiders, and loners have as their only friend. She's one of the nicest people I know. And I ain't just sayin that." Buck sounded quite positive about her.
"Oh give it up Bucky. We know you got the hots for her, so when you gonna ask her?" TJ blurted out.
"TJ!" JD scorned.
"Sorry JD." TJs ears went down.
"Oh no, it's ok, I'm actually gonna ask tonight." Buck boasted.
"Ask her what?" JD asked.
"On a date." Buck seemed quite confident.
"Hey Addy. You getting bored just sitting here?" JD looked at Addy.
"Oh, uh, I'm okay." Addy chuckled.
"Alright, well, we still got more than half the town to show ya. So let's go!" JD pushed TJ, and he stumbled forward. Addy turned, and noticed JD was staring at her.
"You okay JD?" She asked. He didn't respond. "JD!"
He snapped out of his trance. "Huh, uh, wait, yeah?"
"You okay?" She chuckled.
"Oh, uh, yeah." JD nodded. "Just a little tired.
TJ leaned over to Addy. "He likes you, I know it."
"TJ, I heard that." JD taunted.
"I know, you were supposed to." TJ leaned over to Addy. "When he asks you out, just say yes. He's a really nice guy." All the while JD heard this, he tackled TJ and began to tickle him again. TJ was hystarically laughing.
"Ah, stop it, that tickles!" TJ yelled.
"Haha, you can't stop laughing can you?" JD joked.
Addy thought to herself,Oh I'm going to like it here.
