Little John, a bear, is Robin’s best friend and sidekick throughout the film.  He sticks with Robin through everything and has the same selfless attitude as Robin.  However, little John does believe that they are beginning to take too many chances while robbing from the rich and giving to the poor.

This character shares a lot of similarities to Baloo from Jungle Book, through his voice actor (Phil Harris) and his body (which allowed Disney to "borrow" some animations from Jungle Book to make the film budget cheaper)
