Dixie at the door. 

"Well, can't you stick around? I've got to do a duet with someone, and your good at singing..." She said causally pointing at the signing strays. I, and the rest of the gang nodded. So did Dixie. 

" Why not!"  She finally cried. We all cheered.

CHAPTER 6: Domino duet

"Come on!" 

"Stop pushing!" 

"Hey, get off!"

"MOVE DOGS!" I yelled.

"Ok, ready? My sister Skiter asked my other sister Dixie. 

"..., ...., .............. Sure..." Dixie replied uncertainly. 

I smiled. I liked my sisters, but at least I lived up to my name, Domino. If there's a queue, and I fall over, all the other dogs will fall over, domino dogs. Still, I was pleased that I could do a duet with Lilly. Lilly's the same age, but she never knew her name, just the lintels, PP.  We all wondered what PP meant.

Now it was Skiter and Dixie's turn to do a duet. I helped them up, and I heard Skiter whispering "Just make it up as you go along." once or twice. Finally, they were on stage, and Dixie murmured.

"Ok, one, two, three ,go!" 

"Careful, just take it easy!" Skiter was comforting Dixie.

"Ok, but I don't know what to sing, so many people here, but so many in the light, we need to help people and... ah!" Dixie smirked.

"Ok, Now I feel shy!" Skiter whispered.

"Don't!" Dixie winked at me, then at Skiter.

 

DIXIE:Some people stand in the darkness Afraid to step into the light

SKITER: Some people need to help somebody
When the edge of surrender’s in sight..

SKITER AND DIXIE:

SKITER: I’m always here...

Titanic wolf whistled at Skiter, and I shook my head, but there was Lilly, staring into my eyes!!! I Gulped. She moved closer to me, and then she kissed me! I pulled away, shocked, but not displeased! Then the door opened, and a rottweiler and a black husky bitch walked in. The husky grabbed Lilly, and claimed that;

"Come on, I don't care if you protest, but I've left my daughter for TOO long!"

"Your not my mother!" Lilly yelped.

"Why did we have to come here Pick Pocket?" the rottweiler asked. PP!!! Stands for pick pocket! Not knowing what  to do, I grabbed hold of Lilly's collar, and yanked. Lilly tumbled, head over heals, on top of me. She got of, blushing foolishly. The Pick Pockets eyes filled with tears, then she walked out of the room, with all the dogs staring after her.

After a few minutes, all the dogs started cheering, Lilly kissed me again! This time it was my turn to blush. Dodger, my father patted me on the back and said;

"Domino, that was real street dog fighting!" 

My mother, Rita smiled.

"Domino, that was so brave!" She said. I felt happy, but felt sorry for PP. Little did I know...

EPILOGUE: new beggings 

Now that Dixie had gone back to join the singing strays,whilebecoming Cash's mate and Skiter had finally fallen in love with Titanic and Lilly and Domino where a happy couple, what was left of PP? She planned to get revenge, but not for a long time. Rita and Dodger where happy again, and Tito and Goergette where happy, what had actully become of Domino and Lilly? Domino and Lilly got married 5 dog years later, and Skiter and Titanic got married 3 years before Domino and Lilly. Lilly and Domino had three pups, and Skiter and Titanic had one. Skiter and Titanics was called Ace, and Domino's and Lilly's were called Ash, Dawn and Zoey.  So finally, Dixie came back, and sang a duet with Domino and Skiter. 

DIXIE:

I'm waiting for the night drifting awayOn the waves of my dreams to another dayI'm standing on a hill and beyond the cloudsThe wind's blowing still and catching my doubts
 

 

SKITER:

'm hunting on the night the slave to my dreamAn illustrated scene descends in the sleepWe're playing for the fights emotional gamesI'm turning off my eyes and hiding my shame

 

DIXIE, SKITER, AND DOMINO:
