Name: Robbie
Gender: Male
Age: Depends
Breed: Collie mix
Personality: Robbie can be a lot of things, but stupid is not one of them, although he does tend to forget common sense sometimes. He can best be classified as sneaky, but a loving character that you would never fail to smile with. He loves to entertain and is famous for his show. He’s an attention seeker, though not arrogant like some would be led to believe. Robbie does have a soft side, but often he keeps it from prying eyes because he thinks it’ll damage his reputation. He’s never been an obscene jerk to anyone, and is a nice guy upon impact, but don’t let his looks fool you. He’ll play you like the dog you are if you’re not careful; it’s one of his specialties.
Strong Points: Schemes and jokes are Robbie’s favorite pass times. He is a great entertainer, and not so much of a jerk as he may first appear. He is extremely intelligent, though he may not always show it, and he even as a soft side to go with his sparkling social state. He isn’t insanely muscular, but his collie build lets him run fast, which allows a clean break when a quick escape is needed. Robbie is most likely the prince of pranks, and he is good at spotting someone’s weaknesses. This is the key to most of his success.
Weak Points: Although Robbie can be a good trickster, he is often seen as arrogant for enjoying his own sly ways. He isn’t afraid to give someone what he thinks they may deserve, and sometimes finds himself in trouble for taking advantage of others, as he does it all too often. Robbie never shows his soft side – except to a select few – which contributes to his overall ‘non-caring, cool and collected’ reputation, something he prizes. He isn’t very strong, which makes him easy to throw around, and although he may be intelligent, his lack of common sense is very often his worst weakness.
History:
Robbie, unlike his later friend, Shiva, does not remember much of his parents. Ever since he could walk, he was pretty much on his own. What little his parents taught him was that you had to learn the weaknesses of others in order to triumph, and that advice has carried Robbie all throughout his life. He first started out by stealing from the local dumpsters. It wasn’t long until he moved on to run down restaurants, nice grocery stores, and fancy diners. Robbie became a full blown artist when it came to stealing, and he was hardly ever caught, to his relief.
At an extremely young age, Robbie had decided that his parents weren’t much help. He never really saw them again once he had decided to leave, but he didn’t necessarily mind. It hurt him way deep down, but he preferred not to show that, as it may end up damaging his outlook to others. It was during this time on his own when he came upon an orphanage. He didn’t plan on entering at first, but the dogs who ran it were very kind, and they convinced Robbie to come inside. He ended up liking it a lot more than he had hoped, and before long two new dogs became his best friends. Their names were Shiva and Bruce, and he would need their help later on.
It was Shiva and Bruce who brought out the inner jokester in Robbie. He found that he had a natural talent for making them laugh, and he also figured out that he loved doing so. It didn’t take long for him to perfect his skills in humor, and from this and his early childhood life combined, the streets smarts he had began to bud like wildfire. He would constantly take advantage of the other dogs in the orphanage, just making fun at first, but after it got annoying and people would no longer fall for things, Robbie gave up, deciding it wasn’t fun anymore.
One night, after a particularly annoying afternoon – the workers of the building across the street had been building nonstop and smoking like mad – the dogs had begun to smell something strange. Since Robbie had never smelled something exactly like it, he could only assume it was something cooking. He had only known the smell of smoke from the restaurants he had raided when he was younger. It was indeed smoke, however the thing that was cooking was the building itself!
Robbie had been told by some of the older dogs to run and get out of the building, but he didn’t want to leave his friends. He found Shiva as he was heading towards the front to wait for them, and Bruce joined them several moments later. It seemed that they were trapped by the time they made it to the front door, as there were flames guarding every side they looked towards. They weren’t joined by any of the other dogs, either. In fact, they could not see a single canine other than their trio.
Robbie had almost begun to panic before he noticed a black figure by the door. As it came closer, it became clear that it was another dog, an adult mutt who he came to know as Adrian. Adrian barked at them to come forward despite the flames, and although they were hesitant, they did as they were told. They managed to get through without getting burned, but as Bruce crossed the doorway, he was suddenly trapped under the falling wood framework. Robbie thought he was going to perish until Adrian swooped his ruff in his jaws and told Robbie and Shiva to get a move on.
After that, Robbie enjoyed Adrian’s company. Adrian took the trio under his paws, and Robbie loved learning Adrian’s methods of stealing. He became very interested in his caretaker, and he enjoyed the freedom to be with just Shiva and Bruce and being able to do whatever he wanted whenever he wanted. Although Adrian acted strange a lot of the time, Robbie never seemed to mind it. Adrian used to leave them alone for a few hours at a time just to be on his own, which was fine by Robbie since it gave them paws on survival experience.
Adrian would also be constantly reminding them to steer clear of a terrier named Dodger and his ruthless gang. He spoke of his past to no one in particular, but Robbie and the others noticed he spaced out whenever he warned them of Dodger or tried to give them tips on how to avoid the pound.
Robbie, Shiva, and Bruce were soon assigned a job to add onto their experience. Although Adrian would send them to get their own food on occasion in order to teach them, they were sent to do it once more in more difficult circumstances. Robbie and the others entered the building while Adrian kept close watch, ready to step in incase they got into trouble. It looked like he would have to; the trio tripped the alarm. Before Adrian could swoop in and save them, though, Dodge and his gang met them first. Shiva seemed hesitant at first, but eventually she was ready to join them. Bruce wasn’t exactly certain, but Robbie knew that they would be betraying Adrian’s trust by going with them. Adrian had told them time and time again that Dodger was bad news, but Robbie couldn’t help becoming convinced by the gang. He ended up going along with the trio.
He now resides with Dodger, his gang, and his two best friends, Bruce and Shiva.
