History:
Forage Wood was the oldest child of his mother, Chickpea, and his father, Timber Hoof. He was the oldest of four siblings, two brothers named Lumber Splint and Sourdough and a sister named Nutmeg, thus taking responsibility for them. When all of them were in early adulthood, Lumber Splint and Nutmeg moved out, with Sourdough seeking out work in their village. This left Forage to succeed their father in becoming chief.

Being out in the Undiscovered West, Forage and his family managed to get their hooves on many exotic things, which drew in customers. Ponies started coming to their village, little by little, and traded off goods and getting some in return with Resin and his family. One of the customers hailed from Ponyville, more specifically from Sweet Apple Acres. His name was Bright Mac, he traded apple saplings, and in return, he got a different assortment of wild seeds. He and Bright Mac eventually became friend's, often writing letters to each other if one or the other couldn't visit. More often than not, Bright Mac came to him, as Forage and his family were a very closed off community. 

It wasn't until Forage met Peach Tea that he stopped writing to him altogether. Peach Tea hailed from a wealthy family, and even her looks differed from the village. Although she originally came to the village for tea leaves and adventure, she eventually decided to move in after saving the life of his mother. At first, the two had trouble getting along. However, Forage eventually took the time to get to know her. They wedded each other after several years of friendship and had a son and two daughters; Basil Leaf, Peach Buttercream, and Peanut Brittle.
