Starlight Glimmer is the main villain of the season 5 premiere, who has a different ideal of friendship- she believes special talents ruin a friendship, and differing from your friends only causes arguments and the breaking of friendships. She believes so strongly, that she founded a small and rather peaceful village, full of smiling ponies that she took their special talents from, and gave them each an equals sign for their cutie marks. However, her intentions are revealed to be far more harmful upon finding that she had lied to the villagers... But it's never revealed what her plans were.
