Personality: Amira is very outgoing, and loves to sing and listen to music. However, she is forced to retain her role as a princess, despite her hatred for the job. Amira can be a little on the stubborn side, and is very independent. She has a slight disliking towards Luna and Celestia, but has to but that behind her considering they live in the same castle.

Relation to MLP: When Amira was sent to Canterlot to fulfil her duty as princess, she met Celestia, Luna, and Twilight. However, considering Luna and Celestia forced her to become a princess, she has a disliking towards them. She is friends with Twilight to some extent, but prefers to hang on her own in the castle. She often enjoys wandering around Canterlot, for the castle makes her feel trapped.

Background:

Amira was born in a small town unheard of by most ponies. She grew up as a normal pony would, with her mother and father. Their town didn’t see Alicorn’s as royalty, and she was treated as equally as everyone else.

However, at a young age her parents were killed when Timberwolves flooded the town. Many ponies were lost that night, but Amira was fortunate to have survived.

Until she was old enough to live on her own, she stayed with a few different families. Because the town was so small, everyone helped everyone.

However, one day two alicorns, unknown to the townspeople, walked in. They were chasing down a “villain” named Discord, who had apparently sent them on a wild goose chase for fun.

Amira, now a teenager, welcomed the alicorn’s as well as the rest of the town. However, the new alicorns were surprised to see another of their kind. They insisted she come with them, to play out her role as a princess.

Amira didn’t understand how she could be someone of royal blood, her family was far from prestigious. However, she followed the princess’ back to their home in Canterlot.

Amira was impressed, but longed to return home to her village where she had grown up.

She spent a few weeks in Canterlot before asking Luna and Celestia if she could return home. They were sympathetic, but explained to her that as an alicorn, she was of royal blood and had a responsibility as a princess.

Amira was not thrilled, but understood that she was apparently needed in the castle. She remains there to this day, even though she despises living there.
