Personality:

At first glance, Fade looks like some elegant creature of the night, a beautiful guardian descending from the clouds.. a wise protector from the stars...

but on second glance...

...she's a bit of a ditz. Many times she flies quickly and doesn't pay enough attention to where she is going. Sometimes she will constantly keep flying into things and crashing into the ground. She tends to have bruises and scrapes because of this.

Clarity hides her loneliness under her bubbly and excitable exterior.  And ironically, She's actually afraid of the dark. This isn’t understood by the few other bat ponies that hang around. They can’t understand her love of daylight.

She wants to make new 'normal’ friends very badly. A lot of the time, this leads to mischief on her part. She doesn't mean anything bad, she just likes to liven things up a little. Her pranks are mostly harmless besides giving an innocent passerby a random mini heart attack.

She talks quickly and in a rather high voice. She always is fidgeting, moving around or fiddling with something.

Likes: meeting new friends, Dark Galaxy (her bff), fruit, daylight, talking, flying around, wearing hats and sunglasses, harmless pranks, warm weather, the observatory, annoying Lady B

Dislikes: the dark, having to sit still or be quiet, hates being alone, being cold, gets kind of upset if asked about her real family, being patient

Cutie Mark: Basically put, her cutie mark is about overcoming her fears. She still has a ways to go, but with the help of those she loves she can learn to handle it.

Glow’s lights are not fully functional (owing to the fact that Lady B was not an experienced magic caster. As such, the lights will flicker and sometimes go out for long periods of time, which leads to panic is poor Glow. Often times she freaks out and will fly into things.

This is literally how she meets Dark Galaxy.

Relation to the show: Fade/Glow comes from a flock of bat ponies that used to live in the ponyville area. Her friend Galaxy is more acquainted with the mane six.

Fade has met Twilight though and received information about her species from the resources in Twilight's library. Fade is also friends with a relative of Golden Harvest (fan named "Carrot Top")

History: How Fade found herself in the royal gardens is a bit of a mystery. Rumors abound that she either wandered off from the bat colony, was abandoned, or was accidentally left behind after the colony continued their migration. Whatever the case, she found herself waking up in some shrubbery. Confused, cold, alone and with darkness closing in, the little bat filly began to sob. Meanwhile, high above the clouds, a princess of Equestria was taking her evening flight. She heard the filly’s sobs and flew down to investigate… Landing in the bushes, she surprised the little filly. Fade let out a surprised squeak as the princess’ huge yellow eyes stared at her. “And what are you doing?” The princess asked calmly. “I-I don’t know where mommy and dadd are, an it’s *sniff* getting’ dark and cold, dunno where home is” squeaked the little filly. I’m scared of the dark, and I’m alone..” She curled up tighter, shaking and whimpering. The princess pondered all of this for a moment. “I have an idea. Hold still.” She stated firmly. Bowing her head, her horn began to glow. Fade opened her mouth to ask her what was happening, but the glow from the horn mesmerized her. It was warm, like a hug from a friend, it tingled her skin and tickled her wings, it embraced her as she was lifted into the air…. And that’s when everything went white.
