Steven Magnet is a sea serpent seen in "Friendship is Magic Part 2" (season 1) in the Everfree forest, to demonstrate Rarity's generosity. The purple cloud (seen throughout all the tasks the mane 6 face) cuts off part of Magnets mustache, causing him to wail and flood an area of the forest. When he explains the problem to the 6, Rarity cuts off part of her tail and gives it to him to use as a substitute, causing him to stop wailing and letting them cross.

It is later mentioned that this flamboyant sea serpent was a good friend of Cranky when he was searching for Matilda, and he goes to attend their wedding in "Slice of Life" as part of the 100th episode celebration.
