Description
The timberwolves are wolves, made up of chunks of logs, twigs, and other bits of wood. Their name is a play on a real life breed of wolf called the gray wolf, sometimes called the timber wolf.
They first appear in "Family Appreciation Day" (season 2), in a flashback of how Granny Smith discovered zap apples, and also the founding of Ponyville. They make another appearance in "Spike At Your Service" (season 3), when Apple Jack saves Spike from the Timberwolves.
