Lightning Dust appears only once in "Wonderbolt Academy" (season 3). She pairs up with Rainbow Dash, seemingly competitive and eager, but is later revealed to be reckless and have little concern for other ponies well being. She is stripped off her title as a team leader (which is then given to Rainbow Dash) and sent away from the academy.

She is seen wearing the wonderbolt training uniform: a tight blue suit, with a yellow underbelly, a yellow zig zag pattern near the cheek and large goggles.
