Starting out as just an animation error, Derpy's differently facing eyes has become part of her name, She loves muffins, and is good friends with the Doctor.

She was in charge of the invitations for Cranky and Matilda's wedding, but (being the clumsy mare she is) sent out misprints to all of ponyville with the date of the wedding moved to a day earlier.

Clumsy but adorable, she became a favourite among fans. However, when she recieved  her first speaking role, there was a lot of controversy surrounding her voice, as many people complained that it was mocking mentally disabled children. Her voice was soon changed after the first airing, any merchandise of her would simply just call her "Muffin", and her name was not mentioned when she was given a bigger part in the 100th episode of mlp.
