Malkas biggest fan
"What?s it like being a king, King Malka sir!?" asked an excited little cub.
Malka let out a chuckle at the cub?s enthusiasm "It's a big job, being a king. You have a lot of responsibilities and a whole pride to watch over. It is not as simple as it may look "
The young cub nodded "I know, you have to be a leader and take charge and not be afraid of anything!"
"True, you do have to be a leader. But you don?t have to have no fears"
"Really? I though kings were supposed to be fearless"
"No Takkar, I may be a king with a beautiful mane, stunning looks and full of bravery" Malka started as he let out a sigh of self-admiration "But that does not mean I don?t have any fears. In fact, I have quite a few fears" Malka explained.
"Really? So, it?s okay for me to be afraid of a few things? "
Malka let out a chuckle "Of course Takkar, but do you know what the one thing you should not be afraid of is" Malka asked leaning down to look Takkar in the eye.
"?. Hyenas?"
"No, being yourself"
"Why would I fear being myself, I like being me and my friends do too" Takkar explained, slightly confused.
"You will understand when you're older, young one" Malka remembered something from a previous conversation he had with Takkar and smiled" Hey, didn?t you say you wanted to be a guard when you grew up once?"
"Yes, and I still do to this day!" Takkar beamed a big smile which warmed Malkas heart.
"Well how about I ask you're parents if I can sign you up for the guard training for cubs classes? If you pass you can be one of the prides guards when you become an adult"
A wide smile appeared on Takkars face "You would do that!?"
"Of course, anything for my biggest fan. You have the potential to be a great guard too, with the right training of course"
"Oh, yes please! I would love that King Malka Sir!"
"Please Takkar, just call me Malka"
"Okay, Malka"
The two smiled at each other and went off to see Takkars parents.
Takkar, an upcoming character of mine is a big fan of Malka. In fact, you could say he is his biggest fan. Takkar has a sister too called Ayisha and they are descendants of Tanglemane (great grandfather) and Leo (Grandfather). "
