Ahadi's death

Ahadi's death

Taka smiled, as his father stumbled on the edge of the slope. His father was desperately afraid of heights, yet here he was, dangling on the edge of a cliff, thanks to Taka, who had broken the dam while Ahadi was walking. He managed to cling to the rocks, and pull himself up. Now, he couldn't pull up, since the rock was too big and heavy. He looked up with fear in his eyes at his son.

"Taka!" Ahadi yelped. His claws slipped down lower off the edge. "Help me son!" He pleaded. Taka glowered down at his father, greed in his beady little eyes.

"And," Taka began, "I will be king?"

"Yes! YES! You'll be king."
"You promise?" Taka asked suspicously. "No, I need proof."
"Proof?" Ahadi boomed. "You don't trust your own father!?"
"Very well." Taka mumbled, and sat down.

"Well?!" Ahadi growled. "Help me now!"

Taka just smiled and said, "Sorry, father. Now that I've got your OK, I am home free. I have won. I BROKE THE DAM. Purposely. It was no accident. Just to be king. However, now that I've told you this, you know too much, I'm afraid." And he slapped his claws down on Ahadi's, while Ahadi watched with both rage and fear in his eyes. Water below rushed. Taka released his father's hold, sending him tumbling down the slope. Ahadi cried as he tumbled, screaming pitifully as well.

When Taka reached the bottom after the flood, he found his father, lying under some logs and debris. He smiled, looking at his father's concealed eyelids and knew he was dead, his spine obviously snapped by the way he was laying. Suddenly, he heard his brother's voice.

"Oh no!" Mufasa cried. "Mom, over here! I found them, I found them!"

Uru came running from the shadows. "My Taka," she purred. "Thank goodness you're alright." Then she saw her husband. Something dropped in her heart, as tears filled her blue eyes. "No." She whispered softly. "No! Ahadi!" She ran to her husband, shaking his body, trying to wake him up. Ahadi didn't move, and Uru soon realized he was dead.

Uru was never the same, and neither was Mufasa. They didn't talk for a long time, and Taka told Mufasa that an outlander pushed Ahadi off the ledge, right after saying, "Long live the king." Mufasa believed him, and remembered this until the day he too died, when Taka said those words to him, and realized he had killed their father.

Well, maybe Taka/Scar could say:

"You promise?" and then Ahadi repeats that yes, but Taka/Scar wants a proof. Ahadi says: "Proof?! You doesn't believe/trust your own father?!" Then Taka/Scar growls and leave Ahadi to fall and die.

Yes, I agree. I've been thinking about ways to modify it. So you have any suggestions at all? Taka needs proof Ahadi made him king.
