"Stop fooling yourself."
- When are you going to realize that Reem is interested in Hajari, not you? Njozi insisted, as she and Jarvis were in the middle of a yet another argument. She was getting really frustrated that Jarvis didn't see he was just wasting his time hoping for a future with Reem, who clearly only saw him as a friend. Well, it seemed to be clear to everyone else except him.
- You can't know that for sure! I'm telling you, Reem and I have gotten a lot closer these past few days, Jarvis said with a stubborn tone, and Njozi sighed.
- Jarvis, sweetheart, she only cares about you as a friend. You need to stop fooling yourself, she tried reasoning with him, with a calm yet frustrated tone, then continued:
- Listen, you're my friend, and I don't want to see you get your heart broken.
Jarvis scoffed.
- You don't know what you're talking about, he grunted, then he leapt off of the log, and walked away, and Njozi sighed.
- Fine! Then just blame yourself, and don't say I didn't tell you so, she snapped, turned around and started walking to the opposite direction.
