Dark Clouds Pt 3: An Unexpected Turn
Oh my god, I can't believe I finally finished the third part - this one took me for EVER, I spent endless hours struggling with some of the characters to get them right. Theo was probably the most challenging one to render here, BUT I have to admit that I LOVE how Luca and Allie came out in the second panel!
Anyhoo... ~
Evening had turned into night, and from the advice of his mate, Theo had decided to not go follow Luca after the argument they had earlier, but instead he decided to let his son be alone, and let out some steam. Luca walked around for a while, and once everyone had gone to sleep, he returned to their den, and quietly walked to his sleeping parents. He looked down, first at his mother, and then his father, with an apologetic look on his face, and sighed.
- I'm sorry, dad... and mom. But I have to do this. I know you'll understand, whispered the young lion, then turned around, walked to the den's entrance, took one last look over his shoulders at his family, then he took off.
Luca proceeded quietly in the jungle night, careful not to make too much noise and wake somebody up, but suddenly, he heard something.
- Psst! Psst, Luca! a voice whispered from behind him, Luca stopped in his tracks and quickly turned around.
- Who's there? he yelled quietly, almost whispering, and then, Allie's head popped out from the bushes.
- Allie? What are you doing here? asked Luca with a raised eyebrow, as the lioness came out from the bushes and walked over to him.
- What's it look like? I'm coming with you, of course, she responded, and Luca raised his eyebrows.
- But, how do you...
- I heard you talking to uncle Theo. If the healer of the Tree of life really knows a cure for Kaleb, I want to meet her, Allie said, with a determined voice.
- Are you sure? The trip could be a dangerous one, said Luca, and Allie stepped closer to him.
- Look, Kaleb is my brother, and I'm ready to do whatever it takes to help him get better. I don't care about any dangers, she snapped, with a strict tone, and Luca smiled with a raised eyebrow.
- Well, at least you and I speak the same language. Alright then, but we better get going, before somebody catches us, he said, Allie nodded, and then the two went on their way, carefully and quietly, until they had reached the end of Isu Keeney lands, which is when they took off running, and so, their journey began...

Ahh thank you soooo much Bulba!! You have no idea how much that means!
Yes, they're a tricky bunch of characters but that's why I love 'em,
cause of their unique designs! And yeah, Luca definitely didn't want to sneak out behind his parent's backs, especially after he'd just had a fight with his father, but he knows he's doing the right thing. Yes, it's going to be quite an adventure for them for sure! |

much! You did an amazing job on everyone!! Especially
with how hard they are to render, that’s for sure! I love the story too! It’s so cute how Luca feels bad for his parents, despite knowing he had to do it!! Luca and Allie’s journey is going to be very interesting, that’s for sure! |
