"Allow me..."
Jarvis sat on guard on the pride's border, it was his first time guarding alone and he always took his job very seriously. However, on this particular evening, as the setting sun was warming his fur and the gentle breeze blew into his mane, Jarvis gazed into the distance and his mind wondered off into his old home, and his father... He couldn't help but think about how Tojo was doing. It was only now that Jarvis realized how much he missed him, and hoped that they would meet again some day.
- Evening, Jarvis, a familiar voice then brought the male back from his thoughts, and as Jarvis turned his head, he saw Reem walking up to him, which made the young guard's face turn into an immident smile.
- Oh, good evening, Reem, he greeted her politely, as she patted over to him.
- It's a beautiful one, isn't it? How is everything? Reem asked, as she sat down beside him.
- So far, so good... it's been rather peaceful, replied Jarvis, as he turned his head back towards the distance.
- Is everything alright? You seem a little... distracted, Reem then asked.
- Yeah, I was just thinking... oh, never mind, Jarvis gave her a quick smile, and she tilted her head.
- No, tell me. What were you thinking about?
Jarvis sighed quietly.
- My father... I just suddenly realize how much I miss him, he said, and Reem looked at him, slowly turning her head towards the sunset too.
- I know how you feel... I miss my family too. But at least I have my brother here with me.
- You're lucky... I never had any brothers or sisters, Jarvis sighed, and Reem turned back to him.
- But you have plenty of friends here, she said, Jarvis looked back at her and she smiled at him, and the male returned the smile.
- Yeah, that's true, he replied, and the two looked at each other for a moment, when suddenly Reem lifted her paw and cried:
- Ouch!
- What is it? Jarvis asked with raised eyebrows, and then noticed a rather nasty looking thorn in Reem's paw.
- I got a thorn in my paw, of all things, she grunted, and Jarvis raised an eyebrow.
- Oh dear. Here, allow me... he said and leaned closer, gently trying to pull the thorn out.

Rainbow - So glad you like it! And yeah, that's what I was thinking as
I wrote the story, they'd have at least something in common and I
would imagine them remaining good friends even though she will
eventually choose Hajari. Arctic - Ha ha, thanks! |

aw, I absolutely adore this Wild  I definitely think they
would bond over missing family, especially since Reem can't set foot
in the pridelands. Amazing job on the render too  |

Thanks, Sky! I had a lot of fun writing it xD And well there's
technically nothing wrong going on here, he's just helping to get a
thorn out of her paw ha ha (well, perhaps with a slight amount of
