Discovering The Traitor - Part 2
Part 2 of my new "mini series"...
Upon discovering that Rasul was a traitor, Jamal tried to reason with him, but instead of listening, the lion attacks him, fearing to be exposed to the rest of the pride. The two males wrestle, which results to Jamal falling over the edge of the cliff. Just when he's about to fall, Jamal grabs his paw, and the prince grunts from pain as he feels the claws sunk in.
- Well, now, isn't this an interesting turn of events? Rasul reached to look over the edge, with an evil grin.
- Rasul, help me! Pull me up! Jamal called, and Rasul just looked at him for a moment, smirking his eyes.
- I'm sorry, your highness, but I can't do that.
- What?! Jamal gasped with a shocked expression and raised eyebrows.
- See, I didn't want it to go down like this, but I can't risk everyone finding out my little secret. At least now I can make it look like an accident.
- Rasul, listen to me! If you come to your senses now, I can promise you that your punishment will only be a light one! Jamal tried to reason with Rasul, his heart was pounding and he tried desperately to get a grip of the edge with his other paw.
- Ha! You'd think so, would you? Rasul laughed, and looked down at the prince.
- Nice try, my prince, but I'm not taking any chances.
- Don't do this, Rasul!
Rasul's evil grin widened, he bent over the edge closer to Jamal, and whispered:
- Long live queen Sauda.
- No! Jamal yelled, and then Rasul threw him into the rapid river below, and his yells were soon drowned into the sound of fast flowing water...
