Discovering The Traitor - Part 1

Some weeks after the king was rescued, Jamal had noticed something strange about Rasul's behavior. He had suspicions that something was up, so he started keeping an eye on the lion and following his moves closely, and finally one day, it payed up when Jamal caught Rasul talking to one of Sauda's lionesses. He decides to confront him after the lioness is gone and the supposed traitor is all alone...
- I knew it, the sound of the prince's voice made Rasul startle and turn around.
- I knew I smelled a rat, Jamal said with a growl, and Rasul's face turned into a sneaky smile.
- Prince Jamal! What ever are you doing here, your highness?
- I would ask you the same thing, only, I think I already got my answer. You're working for queen Sauda, aren't you?
Rasul smirked, and chuckled.
- Bravo, your highness. You're much sharper than I've given you credit for.
Jamal let out a small growl.
- Why would you do it, Rasul? My father has always been good to you, he said, and Rasul snorted.
- Has he really? he said with a raised eyebrow, and the two males were now circling each other.
- He took you in when you had nowhere else to go, Jamal tried to remain his cool, even though his blood was boiling with dissapointment and anger. Rasul growled.
- He repaired my loyalty by assigning a rogue as the leader of the guard! Unlike your father, queen Sauda appreciates me and my services, he snarled.
- It was you, wasn't it? You plotted that ambush with Sauda and her followers. You set us up, Jamal growled angrily, and Rasul chuckled.
- Very good, my dear prince, your deduction is truly admirable. Too bad you won't get to tell anyone.
