Kovu takes his daughter, Hasana, aside to talk. He looks at her, worried about her decision to run away and start her own pride with her mate. Hasana smiles at her father. She turns to look into his eyes, the same as her own.
"Dad, I know you think this is wrong but I don't want to be useless. I need to be someone" Hasana explains to her father. Kovu looks down at his paws and hesitates before replying to his daughter. Kovu gives her a light smile.
"Ok. I guess I understand but if he breaks your heart tell me. You can come back here and I'd be happy to break him for you," Kovu says, a lttle laughter in his voice. Hasana chuckles at that because she knows it true. The air lightens around them and they look at each other with ease.
"And if you do create a pride all your own then you must promise to visit. Also, you must stay in touch as much as you can. If I don't hear from you me and your mother will come after you," Kovu reminds her. Hasana smiles and nods. Her heart aches for her father and the pain he must feel from watching his cubs grow up and leave.
