"It's all the same."
Mheetu sat down and sighed as he watched Zazu fly off after Simba and Nala. He tried not to pout, but he couldn't help his little heart as it squeezed from the feeling of rejection.
''What happened?'' Mega bent down to look at Mheetu, concern etched his features when he noticed Mheetu trying to conceal his pouts.
''Nothing dad. It's all the same.'' Mheetu turned his head away, closing his eyes as he tried to prevent his eyes from watering.
''What's all the same?'' Mega asked as he put his muzzle at Mheetu's chest.
''Simba and Nala always run off, they never wait up for me.'' Mheetu sniffed.
''Oh Mheetu...'' Mega sighed. He thought for a moment before smiling and ticking Mheetu's chest.
Mheetu giggled and fell back, ''Dad, stop it, it tickles.''
After making Mheetu smile a while longer, Mega let up and stood over his son, ''Why don't you and I spend the day together.''
Mheetu nodded excitedly and followed Mega as the adult lead the way down the trail.
