Blanca and Her self proclaimed son Kovu. Blanca is old she's been around for many generations. she is still strong but her mind is starting to go. Here she is sleeping. Kovu and Kiara know she is old and that her mind his going. Kovu's though of her as a mother sence forever. He doesn't like that fact that any day now she could just me gone.

Meaning: you know how people say blood is thicker than water? well kovu's not her birth child so he isn't blood. But she loves him as her own so the water is sweet, and the bond makes it red. Wine is the closest you can get to blood.
