Not mature enough
It has been two years now since the Pridelands was in peace again, Simba had just passed away a few weeks ago and Kovu was ready to be king, however he wasn't ready to hold a serious relationship with Kiara, it seems that she became annoying to him, he didn't loved her anymore and started to treat her like any other lioness from the pride. In fact Kiara still was a bit innoccent and thought that Kovu was just mad because of his new responsabilities. One night, after patrolling the Pridelands Kovu came back to the Priderock a bit tired, all the lionesses were in the cave but Kiara was waiting for Kovu outside, it seemed that she wanted to tell something important to him, she looked happy, when Kovu saw Kiara waiting for him he gave a sight while he rolled his eyes " (Ugh, what does she want?") he said while he moved to the Priderock.
"Kovu, I have something to tell you, is really important, I am so happy you have no idea from what..."
"Kiara... I also needed to talk with you and it's really important"
" Oh really? Ok so let's do it like this, we say what we have to at the same time, one, two, trhee..."
"HUSH!... Kiara what I have to tell you is really serious and I would want you to stop being such a baby girl like you always is and listen!"
"Kovu... you never talked to me like this before..."
"Yeah, yeah, I know. Look Kiara I know that you love and all but it's just that, I don't feel the same for you anymore, understand? I mean, I used to love you but that was in the past, things are different now"
"What do you mean?" Kiara asked almost crying
"Oh come on Kiara, things have changed and you know it, I have changed I'm not that carefree teenager that I used to be, I'm older now, I'm more mature than before...but you still the same and this annoys me"
-"Kovu please don't say that" Kiara said with tears coming from her eyes
" I'm sorry but your not mature enough for me, I can't stand you anymore, I don't love you anymore"
" No Kovu, no! I can fix that I can change"
" I don't want you to change Kiara, I just don't want to be with you like I was before, I'm sorry but we don't match together anymore"
"But Kovu... we have a love story together we we're meant to be together"
"Ugh see? You are so innoccent that you still believe in fictional love stories, Kiara we are in reality now and this is the reality. Yeah we had great times together in the past and I will always be grateful for you saving me from Zira's abusive claws, but that's it, nothing more than that. Yes you still queen of the Pridelands but we are not a couple anymore"
"So is that it huh? Ok, Kovu, this isn't over yet we will talk about it in a more mature time of the day. Oh, and before I forgot... I'M PREGNANT!"
Kiara went to the cave crying while Kovu slept outside this time, he couldn't face Kiara after that

Yes! Teenage lovers usually never stay together. This makes so much
sense. I love it. I cannot wait!!! I wanna see this get interesting..

Oh, thank you really much, you think exactly just like me, Kovu and
Kiara loved each other as teenagers bu they had to grow up some day
and their feelings and personality would change as they grow up,
besides the fact that not even as teenagers I liked Kiara and Kovu as
a couple XD. Also, I'm planning to make my next image showing that
Kovu wasn't complete restored and still had many signs of evil. |

Cute image, I like how you made Kovu look here. The story is very well thought of. I like it. I mean, they fell in love as teens. So it is VERY LIKELY that they drift apart -- and I see Kovu's character being the more mature one. Kiara is too mary-sue and I can see this happening just like this.. I'm excited to see where you go with this. |
