As young adults, Laini and Jasiri didn't needed Kovu anymore to learn and train their duties, they could do it by themselves withou the help of anyone. However, instead of doing their duties, Jasiri and Laini would go to the lake far from the Pridelands in a huge Oasias and relax:
"Hey Laini you know what? One day ,when I'm king, I will make you my queen, sweetie"
"Actually, you'll only become king because of me so when I'm queen, I will maybe choose you as my king"
"Yeah whatever. I think it's better we return to Priderock now... You father might be looking for us"
"Nah, don't worry about that, as long he don't find out about this we can stay how much we want honey, besides, one day this land will belong to us anyway"
