Brother, Sister Talk

This scene takes place when Leal first brings her new friend 'Elimu' home. Once introduced, everyone loved Elimu in the pride and even offered to show him around. While doing so, Leal's youngest sibling "Davu" wanted to go for a walk ask for Leal to join him. Leal was happy to join since her and Davu have always been close, so as her and their big sister Sarafina.

The walk was quiet as the two enjoyed the sound and sight of nature. Davu decided to speak first clearing his throat. He made eye contact with his sister while walking and said....

Davu: "Leal, can we have another one of those brother to sister type of talks?"

Leal nod her head with a smile.

Leal: "Sure Davu! What do you want to talk about? Work bothering you again?"

Davu chuckled, shaking his head.

Davu: "No Leal. Work is fine actually today. I wanted to talk to you about that guy Emu."

Leal: "You mean, Elimu? What about him?"

Davu: "I meant Elimu, sorry about that. Any way, how did you two even met? You didn't explain when you've brought him here...I just want to get to know him better that's all. I haven't seen you this happy before Sarafina left. I love this side of Leal!"

Hearing Sarafina's name made Leal cringe as she stared down at her paws. She takes in a deep breath, squinting her eyes as she tries to pretend that she did not hear her brother say Sarafina's name. She ignored it and answered his question about Elimu.

Leal: "Oh Davu, he is such an outstanding strong guy. We met while I was out there trying to clear my own thoughts and to get away from everything that has happened here...Elimu made it all go away and feel better. I felt so happy and alive again to where at a point, I had forgotten all about our sister. You have to get to know Davu, I think you would like him as much. He is very respectful, kind, so brave, and well...handsome!"

Hearing his sister Leal gush all about a guy made him want to barf as he stuck out his tongue like a child.

Davu: "Ew, gross sister!"

The two share a laugh.

Davu: "Well sis, if you like this guy ever so much, I would do anything to keep that smile on your face. How about I give him a better grand tour of the lands tomorrow morning and try to get to know him one-on-one?"

Leal grew excited and hugged her brother tight. "Oh Davu, you're the best! I am sure Elimu would like that a lot. I must tell him now!"

Davu stopped in front of Leal's tracks and grinned, "Hold on now, how about I tell him? I would be honored."

Leal thought about and nodded smiling once again. "Okay, sure! That would be even better. Thanks Davu for all what you're doing."

"No problem, that is what brothers are for."

The two continued their walk with more laughs and sharing stories again of when they were cubs.
