In some ways, TLK1 is based on Romulus and Remus. Eg,their evil great uncle draws away their grandfather (like Scar kills Mufasa.), their evil great-uncle trys to get rid of them, then they are found by a she-wolf and her pups (Like Simba is found by Timon and Pumbaa), then they are found by a shepard (like Simba is found by Nala), then they grow up and return home (like Simba does), they help their uncle to regain power, then after killing Remus, Romulus becomes king in a happy ending (like Simba takes the throne after killing Scar.) See what I mean?

Hades story was rather sad to me i felt bad for him like he was set up from the start. I remember my sister was Obsesses with the Children of Lir story for about a full year . recently my favorite story is of Vesta in roman Mythology although as soon as a find a new story it's bound to get pushed to the side.

I think Mythology would make great plots for another TLK movie if there was ever another one to come although that's never gonna happen.

For me, the best story is the Children of Lir from Celtic mythology...although my favourite Greek/Roman myth is Hades and Persephone.

Apparently people from greece (I think...) still call it a Daphne tree!

claire: awesome! and really aw thats so cute!
Lionsoulkopa: yes i remember that one

Anyone know the story of Daphne the nimph who was turned into a laurel tree? I love that one!
