Esme the elephant had encountered many animals in her still young life, but of all of them, she loved birds the most. She would often be amazed at how they could flutter their two top legs and seemingly walk on the clouds. This day, Esme found herself wandering around a field of blue flowers when she spotted the strange creature. Esme had never seen anything like it- although she felt it's markings resembled that of some of her beloved birds. It was a little big, but Esme decided she would do to it what she did to a lot of the other birds: throw it into the air and then watch it soar. The creature in question was asleep, and so Esme nudged it awake, and before it could react she hoisted it up into the air using her trunk, ready to see it fly.
A scream erupted from the creature, who floundered in the air with wild eyes followed by "Put me DOWN!" Esme was a little startled, but she complied with the request. The creature took one look at her and began to shake. "I won't hurt you! I promise! I just...I thought you could fly!" She offered as an explanation. "Lions don't fly!" Came the response. "Lions?" Esme repeated. The 'lion' then shook its self, and Esme found herself "awwing" at how fluffy the creature was. "Come with me!" She told it, before using her trunk to pick up the adorable furry creature to take back and show her mother.
@}---- I thought Hira Nur's introduction to Esme was so funny that I just had to render it XD
