So this particular scene here takes place waaaay after user Wild-Fire's beautifully comic, ''A Brave Rescue''.
I had a wicked idea about what if Sandro had finally open up to Jarvis about his dramatic, traumatizing story before he'd joined Kopa and Reem's pride? Sandro has never opened up to anyone about what happened in his past except for Nirmala. He never told Reem, Kopa, or even his best friend Kali about it. (Reem of course knows because of Nirmala, but Sandro doesn't know that yet).
After becoming close buddies to Jarvis, Sandro felt like the adult lion deserves to know more about him. He trusts Jarvis enough to share his world and deep past. He told the friendly male that he doesn't quite remember what had happened to his family. He does remember running which felt like forever the way he describes it. His paws were blistered and sore due to the hard, cracked, dry ground. He remember the sky being the color of black and grey, the trees having flames, and different animal species panicking for their lives. But somehow, Sandro has gotten mixed up and separated from his pride.
That is when he fainted and everything went blank. Luckily, a wise mandrill named "Rafiki" had found Sandro while on a search for some herbs needed for his tree. He took the cub quickly to his aid and cured his paws and what ever wounds/scratches he had. Sandro appeared to be so dehydrated that he forced to cub to drink.
Sandro moved on the story of how he'd met Nirmala and next Reem. He was terrified meeting them at first, not knowing if he was going to be safe. He just wanted to return back to his family. But the lionesses had to explain to him that there is no going back. He is all alone and will need an adult to care for him until he is grown to defend on his own. It was hard for Sandro to swallow that. It made him depressed and took him awhile to adjust to all of these quick changes.
But until he met Kali, a cub his age, things turned out for the better and made him happy again by teaching him games and introducing him to other lions in the pride. Hearing Sandro's story made Jarvis's eyes well up with tears. He felt very emotional that a cub his age has gone through all of those horrible hard events. He thanked Sandro for trusting him to tell him such a story about his life. He felt honored and made a huge promise to Sandro that no matter what, he will not leave his side and will try to protect him as long as he can. He has his companionship.
Sandro felt very good inside to hear that and hope to grow up to be just like Jarvis. Jarvis is everything that Sandro wishes to be. Brave, loyal, kind, very generous of others, and strong.
The little cub sniffs and looks up at Jarvis with a smile.
(So sorry Wild that this is so long xD I couldnt stop typing lol)
