'Mind If I Join You?'
It was a long and tiring patrol day for Hajari as the lion decides to cool himself down with a drink of water. The sun has been beaming high majority of the day. Once he made it down to the pride's favorite drinking area, he surprisingly finds Reem there. The two arrived at the same time, but Reem happened to not notice Hajari there at first. She was more focused on drinking and thus she did.
Hajari cleared his throat and smiled, "Mind if I join you?"
Reem stopped drinking. She licked the remaining droplets from off her furry chin and slightly chuckled. "Oh Hajari, so sorry. I did not see you there! Did you just got here? You've startled me haha and of course you can join me. There is plenty of water to go around from last night's rain..."
"Heh, well apparently we both got here at the same time. What a coincidence huh? And thank you. It is pretty hot out today."
"Yes, quite it is."
The two fell silent as they share a lapping, cool drink together. Hajari stopped, but Reem continued drinking.
"You know, such wonderful color fur you have Reem, you should be shaded under a tree. You don't want to get sun burn!" He said, concerning. "Trust me, those are painful."
Reem smiles, "Yeah I know, my brother got it when we were younger from playing out in the sun too long. He never listened when our mother told him to go inside the cave where it's cool."
Hajari grinned, "And your'e gonna be just like him if you don't get yourself underneath a tree."
"Alright, alright mister." She jokes with a laugh.
The two walk together to find a nice shady tree until the sun goes down where they can walk home in cool temperatures.
