Honestly, I always wondered how Sarabi lived in Scar's reign knowing that her son and her husband were dead, I believe that she has blamed herself for the death of her beloved son because she left him alone in the day of the stampede and lived in pain and anguish because she could have saved her son, but she didn't. Maybe if she has been more concerned about Simba, nothing would have happened, poor Sarabi. And also, I suggest you guys to hear this song from The living Tombstone: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gk-aCL6eyGc, this song is amazing (but sad) and describes very well Sarabi's pain in this situation.
