'Im Watch'n You!'
This scene takes place a few days after Hajari joins the Sun Pride. Kayin and the other lionesses of the pride have been strictly keeping an close eye on their new guard member Hajari. They've noticed how he is getting a bit close to Reem, although Reem informs the ladies they are nothing a sort, except friends.
But for some reason, Kayin is not buying it and lets Hajari know right away how she feels about it. She catches him one night on patrol. The lion was walking on a fallen tree as Kayin caught up beside him, furrowing her brows.
"I know what you are up to, mister!" she says.
Hajari snorts with an sarcastic laugh. "What are you talking about lioness? Shouldn't you be back with the pride? I am kind of busy here at the moment..."
"Please, you have time to chat."
"Fine, what is it?" he rolled his eyes.
"I see how you act in front of our leader Reem. She is not interested in any lions...I believe she has made that clear with everyone in today's pride meeting. Why are you still trying with her? It appears you behave more than just friends..."
"We ARE just friends. I don't know what you are talking about. I am just acting my true self...a lioness beautiful as herself should always be treated with kind respect and friendliness."
Kayin squints her eyes at him. "Hmm, I see..."
"Does that answer any of your dying questions?" He grins.
"For now, but I will still watch you. If I see anything else, I will inform her brother Kopa about it. Reem is my friend and I don't want to see her hurt. She is like a good sister to the rest of us here."
"Look, I get it lioness. You all have every right to protect Reem. But you've must trust me. If Reem trusts me around her, than you guys should start too! Now, I have patrol duties to attend. I don't want Reem or Kopa to find me out here not doing my job."
With that, the lion left. Kayin stood there still with a tiny frown and says, "And my name is not lioness, it's Kayin!"
Hope you like Sparrow! I had fun typing this haha.
