Failed Mission
This is part 2 to one of my previous images called, "Plans Gone Wrong".
That same evening after being let go by a perhaps 'friendly' lion named Eberardo, Laavanya escapes the Out Lands freely and heads back home to the Aazan Pride. She is nervous to approach her mother, knowing that she has failed her first mission. Vitani will not be pleased at all hearing this.
"M-Mother?" Laavanya calls out, afraid.
"Yes?" Vitani steps out of the tall grasses, walking up to her daughter with a high smile hoping that the mission has gone well. "Well, how did it go dear?"
"Um..."
"Laavanya? Is there something that I should know?" she asked, concered raising a brow.
"Things kind of changed course...."
"What do you mean?"
"I was caught by one of the Queen's guards I believe. He let me go with a warning..."
Vitani growls angrily. "How did that happen?! Did you remember your training?!!"
Laavanya nods. "Yes. I was so close mother, but he sniffed out my scent rather so quickly. Please believe me!"
Vitani tries to calm herself before speaking. She closes her eyes with a deep sigh and says, "We must try again tomorrow. This time, I want you to deliver a message to the Queen to make things more simpler for you. I will send Saacha to go with you to make sure things get done. We don't have much time for any delays, darling...."
Laavanya lowers her ears, "Yes, mother..."
