It is apparent that Daka had narrowly escaped death. Her brother, though, was separated from her and was never found; presumed dead. Because Kiara was not around at this time, Daka earned the notification of being queen. Even when Kiara was born, Daka's fate was set and ready to sail. Though...Daka had never thought of being queen before.

The song suits Daka so much, except from the fact that there is no snow if Africa (at least I don't think there is aside from the white powdery stuff in LKII, but I don't think that's snow) and that she doesn't exactly have a curse. Also...Kiara isn't born/dies in my Dakaverse (aw yiss, Dakaverse ftw)
