A Fallen Rose
Originally, I was going to title this "The Dead Rose", but I thought that might be too rough. Anyways, as stated in Padmini's bio, her and Malka had a dispute about her leaving her family, Sarabi and the other pride lionesses behind at Pride Rock with Scar. She thought it would be a bad move and rather stick with them.
Malka thought it was wrong for her to not come to a place where it is safe for her and their newborn daughter (Naamah) at the mountain pride. But it just was not enough room for Sarabi and the others to come. Padmini hated that, so she stood her ground and stayed at Pride Rock. Malka, angry, left her behind unprotected which soon ended her life.
Padmini was killed by Scar's hyenas, after Scar had found out about her and Malka's cub, when the cub had gotten bigger. So thus, he wanted Padmini killed for sneaking behind him baring a male's cub not from the Pride.
A few days later since her death, Malka had felt terrible for what he said to Padmini and wanted to apologize after cooling down. He took a short cut to the Pride Lands by walking through gorge and there, he has found Padmini's lifeless body, dumped by the hyenas where they've left Mufasa's too (some time ago).
Malka was saddened and angry too. He blamed himself and regret what had happened. He wish time could have changed. Now all he can think about is if his daughter is safe. After saying his prayers and words to Padmini, he quickly race off to Pride Rock to check up on his daughter.
