Once Hasani is of age, the previous king and the future king have a little talk.

Kovu is King, but he already gives Hasani the talk when he's a cub. Simba, being a lot more experienced than Kovu, just gives some additional knowledge, that he received from Mufasa. So, Hasani already got his future King talk from his father when he was a cub as well as a teenager. Now, he gets it from his grandfather when he's a young adult.

A lot of talks, I know, but Hasani doesn't seem to mind^^

Yeah, I love how you aged Simba, but I have a question...

Simba gives Hasani the 'future King' talk, so does this mean Kovu is not King of the Pridelands, but... Prince Regent/Consort? Not that I have a problem with that, I don't. Kovu has always appeared to me - if not King by doing what real lions do when they take over a pride - then as Prince Regent/Consort, considering Kiara, has Simba's only offspring, would be the rightful heir, or heiress in her case, heh heh.
