As Simba walked, he spotted a small figure sitting in the grasses, only to realize it was his youngest son. Simba walked over to the little cub, and calmly sat down next to him, gazing down upon him.
- Jahidi, what are you doing here? You're supposed to be asleep, the larger male said quietly to his son, who sighed.
- I... I couldn't sleep, Jahidi said, and blinked away the tears.
- I just keep thinking about Kopa, he added, with a sniff.'
- We've been through this, son, Simba said, raising his eyebrows. Jahidi raised his head, looking at his father.
- It's all my fault, dad. If I hadn't run away...
- If you hadn't run away, Zira would've killed you both. You did the right thing when you came to get help, Simba comforted, and Jahidi sighed. Now Simba began to smile.
- I'm just happy I didn't loose my both sons, he said, and wrapped his paw around the cub, giving him a nuzzle. Jahidi couldn't help smiling, and nuzzled his father back.
- I love you, dad.
- I love you too, son. Come on, it's late.
Then the lions walked back to Pride rock together.
This is the night of Kopa's death, Jahidi is sure it's his fault but his father comforts him, and tells him he did the right thing when he came for help.
