Brother and Sister?
Aven studied the lion, she looked him up and down as a realization came upon her, ''Wh-what is your name?''
Aresiran chuckled under his breath, ''Oh, forgive me. Where are my manners? My name is Aresiran..''
Aven nodded, ''Aw.. You are a rogue?''
Aresiran confirmed, ''Yes.. I was once the prince of a very populous pride.. But my father exiled me for not following his ways...''
Aven gasped, ''And your mother?''
Aresiran frowned, ''She died when I was just a cub..''
Aven pointed out, ''Aresiran, look at me.. Then look at you.. We-we look the same! Almost like brother and sister..''
Aresiran studied the female - he had to admit, they looked identical almost. Almost same color fur, same color eyes. He shook his head, ''I was my fathers only heir..''
Aven pointed out, ''But I bet you looked more like your mother..''
Aresiran's eyes widened as he realized the female was right.
Aven continued, ''My mother left me and my father when I was just a newborn.. She left us to be with another male -- a king of a pride. Aresiran! It can't be a coincidence that me and you look so much alike.. We both share our mothers features..''
Aresiran looked to the strange lioness, he knew she was right - he could feel it deep in his bones. He now felt complete. That the void in his life was filled. He asked the female, ''What is your name,... sister?''
Aven smiled widely, ''My name is Aven..''
Aresiran smiled to Aven and said with the sincerest of smiles, "Aven.. we have a lot of catching up to do..''
