Stupid Love
In my theory Choyo(the selfish lion) and Mohatu both had a crush on Kaita. But as the oldest and the future king Mohatu became her mate. And Kaita fell in love with Mohatu.Choyo became furious and attackt Mohatu fighting his brother for the throne and Kaita's heart.
Mohatu won banishing Choyo to the Outlands.
That's my theory.
