Getting To Know The King
I imagine King Kaan having a high interest into getting to know Isai, Aaila's friend. He often sees the two young adults always hanging out and sharing a close bond. He can sense that there could be possible hidden future somewhere between them.
So, Kaan discuss and share his own thoughts of the matter to Isai just to see where Isai's mind is in terms of just being Aaila's friend or in hopes of being her mate anytime soon.
Kaan: "I watch how you are with my stepdaughter. Do you think of ever having a future with her someday?"
Isai: "Yes your majesty! I would love to, that is if Aaila wishes that. I wouldn't pressure it if she does not feel comfortable being my mate. But yes, I sometimes think about that. Why did you ask?"
Kaan: "Because you already have my wife and I acceptance. You belong here in the Anuka Pride."
Isai: "Wow...thanks!"
