Oh heck yeah. Even when Firion returns things don't improve (well not by much anyways) and I doubt Shasta will ever be the same after all of this. She's definately not going to be as happy-go-lucky or optimistic as she was before.

Poor Shasta, things definitely didn't go the way that she or Firion could've expected. This is definitely going to have a lasting impact on her for the rest of her life, even if things do get better.
