Kula's Mother
My version of Kula's mother. Her name is Kali and she is blind (three guesses which of my character's she is related to and the first two don't count.)
Since I believe that Kula is Kovu's true mother, I asked myself where could Jia's blindness come from? One of Kovu's grandparents. Kali, like Jia, was blind from birth a trait that skipped Kula (but I believe she'd have gone blind if she'd lived to old age) and Kovu and manifested in Jia.
Kali died during Scar's reign, killed by hyenas who believed the blind lioness would make an easy picking. She took almost a dozen hyenas with her.
She later became a sort of spirit guide for her great-grandaughter, teaching her how to move around safely and use her other senses to her advantage.
Should I make her official or not?

I agree with VitaniLover, Nama. Make Kali official. I really like her,
and, like VitaniLover said, Jia needs someone to look up to, even in
the stars. |
