Confrontation
Leena had been patrolling nearby when she heard them. Cubs had been yelling in panicked voices and a loud roaring was echoing after them. Leene felt herself freeze, she recognized the voices. One was of Chike and the other...Shani! The lioness sprung into action, running in the direction of the yells. She skidded to a stop and stared. Chike and Shani were huddled agaisnt a rock, eyes wide in fear, a huge gray lion loomed over him, growling at them. He lifted a massive paw. With a snarl Leena launched herself at the lion, she let out a loud roar and butted him away. He stumbled back in surprise, but his expression soon turned into delight. Leenas lip drew back in a snarl.''Back off!'' Behind her, Chike and Shani were trembling, pressing into each others sides as they shook. Leena glanced back, a small cut was on Shani's flank. She felt anger rise in her. Though she knew the cub disliked her, she felt protective of Kovu's first daughter. She turned her head to glare at the lion. ''How dare you!''
The male grinned at her, he tilted his head. Ignoring her statement.''Ah, I am assuming you are Queen Leena. Pleasure to meet you.'' Leena growled in response.
He chuckled. '' You are as beautiful as they say. Good. Which means I don't need to get rid of you.''
Her eyes narrowed. ''Who are you?''
He smirked.''My name is Negus...I am going to be the King.''
Leena snarled, so he was going to try to dethron Kovu. Her eyes narrowed, which meant the pride and its cubs would be in jeopardy. She growled.''I don't think so..'' She lunged at him...
